So Ive just learned that Neil didnt do his military service in the land of Trump's chosen. Does that make him a draft dodger. If so does anyone know how to get in contact with the mossad?

- The game draws a contrast between Jin's samurai training, which lets him challenge enemies to standoffs and one-on-one combat, and the "dishonourable" way of the Ghost, where Jin uses deceit and underhanded tactics: fear, distractions to lure enemies before assassinating them, and smoke bombs. Interestingly, when Jin was crouched above two enemies, he had the option to "assassinate" or "slaughter".
- Different combat stances have different advantages against certain enemy types.
- Jin is able to deflect arrows.
- Animals can help Jin in exploration. We saw more aggressive animals, such as a boar, but birds will help guide him to points of interest, while foxes will lead the way to secret shrines.
- When Jin marks a point on the map, the way will be shown by a "guiding wind".
- Jin has a horse, as well as a grappling hook, for traversal around the island.
- Jin's legend will grow, and the Mongol invaders will learn to fear him.
- Customisation will be extensive with a range of armour types. Jin will also be able to use flowers to dye armour and customise it further.
- There will be a detailed photo mode, as well as a black and white gameplay mode available from the beginning, and intended to immerse players in the feeling of samurai cinema.
- There will be an option to play the game with a Japanese voicetrack and subtitles.
Druckmann says the "test" for them was whether they could "come up with a story that can... stand on its own and be meaningful" with "the same kind of feeling" as the Naughty Dog team had when they "came upon the story for the first one", but which was also "additive", so that "if you played both, then you get... a bigger narrative".
Narrative lead Halley Gross, meanwhile, says the studio "really cared about... honouring Ellie and Joel specifically", taking into account their "journey as characters" and what the "honest next steps" and "truest moves" might be for them. According to Kurt Margenau, co-game director, the sequel "expands" on seemingly everything: the "relationship between Ellie and Joel", the other relationships Ellie has, and the "greater world" of the game. "The core" of the game, Druckmann says, "is about these really intimate intense relationships". He adds that the sequel might "be more divisive than the first game" in a "very exciting way", in terms of "where players stand" on the various "interesting philosophical questions" they have to consider, adding that even within the studio, they've had "a lot of philosophical arguments about some of the events" in the game.
In Ghosts, the focus is on the player and what they can do, what options they have, and how the player can immerse themselves. TLoU2's focus is on the devs themselves, the story the devs made, what they felt, and how great their story is. It's all "me, me, me."I just find the contrast really interesting, Naughty Dog has done next to zero to explain the gameplay and gameplay changes. Suckerpunch wrote a fucking essay on how their game controls and what you're supposed to actually do. This is ontop of the event they hosted showcasing ghosts
This was Sucker Punch explaining Ghosts(they really are ripping off Tenchu, but with samurai instead of Ninjas)
And this was Naughty Dog's:
Gameplay really is an afterthought, it's not mentioned once.
I am concerned that Sucker Punch is gonna pull some bullshit that will take me out of it, though. Which would be amusing to me given the woke side saying "X can't make games about Y" and here's quite possibly an American studio fudging Japanese history to fit their narrative and be more "sensitive". I'm probably paranoid, but the one thing I can say about Sucker Punch is that they do at least try to make their stuff fun.In Ghosts, the focus is on the player and what they can do, what options they have, and how the player can immerse themselves. Did you watch the video? The only thing I don't see are decapitations but you can break people's knees. They even have an option to use the Japanese voice actors.I am concerned that Sucker Punch is gonna pull some bullshit that will take me out of it, though. I keep hearing people talk about someone being homosexual or something and I'm confused why that was brought up at all. Like what point would that have in the plot? I mean, if it's the samurai lady wanting revenge for her lover being kidnapped, yeah okay... that's kind of badass, but if it's just someone walking up and saying "I'm gay." then tears off the face mask to reveal they're Sonicfox, then I dunno.Did you watch the video? The one thing that concerns me is resource gathering, I really didn't think that was needed.
She's apparently not gay, they're not going to delve into the historical gay samurai stuff either it seems. They really just want an idealized movie samurai game. Because if we were to go full historical the horses are the incorrect breed, everyone is too tall, and there's no use of polearms which were more widely used than swords.I keep hearing people talk about someone being homosexual or something and I'm confused why that was brought up at all. Like I said, I'm being paranoid and I'm still looking forward to the game. I just want to know if there's something I should brace for or not. Like Saints Row the Third did some dumb shit that wasn't woke and took me out of the game for years, had to have a friend convince me to buy it on PC so we could torture each other in Co-Op just to play it again.
So it was people freaking out over nothing. I wouldn't have minded the historical stuff, but I can understand if it gets in the way of the game. I could see Yakuza doing that for shits and giggles, though. She's apparently not gay, they're not going to delve into the historical gay samurai stuff either it seems. They also fixed her face because she looked way older and more masculine in the original trailer.
Looks so good. I'm sure they will make the resource system something that isn't punishing if you don't go out of the way to collect everything, but reward you or are atleast helpful. I'm getting tenchu vibes from it. Maybe the bamboo is used to make a bamboo straw to hide underwater? That was the big problem with TLoU 1. Most resources were pretty easy to find, and rarely did I run out of resources. Dunno how 2 will do it, but if it's like the story, probably poorly.Did you watch the video? There were rumors early on, but it seems everything was left on the cutting room floor with the new build if it even made it out of the concept stage. If there was going to be major gay shit they would have thrown it in the trailer mentioning lesser known japanese lifestyle in feudal japan. This is the most we've seen of the game in action since the announcement. So it was people freaking out over nothing. I'm glad they're just trying to make something fun and inspired by samurai movies.
In a few years time I'll probably buy it for myself when it's at that $20 or under bargain price. Unless Naughty Dawg still leaves the game highly buggy like TLOU1 was. I played the PS4 version and was just wholly underwhelmed by characters popping in and out and random nonsense. Hero's video was far and away from nitpicking, in fact I'm appalled that no mainstream critic pointed out how unfinished the first game was.You know what would be really funny? A great end to this saga? If it still sold really well.
The only male jewish kids not doing compulsory military in Israel are the religious nutjobs, those with rich parents and those fucked in the head. Pick you favorite. So Ive just learned that Neil didnt do his military service in the land of Trump's chosen. Does that make him a draft dodger. You expect gameplay in a game that tells such an interesting, high-quality story with so many interesting characters? Are you from the late 90 early 2000's or what?Gameplay really is an afterthought, it's not mentioned once.
I do think this is pretty much the end of Naughty Dog and Druckmann. The point where the emperor has lost his clothes. But gamers buying shit is very likely too. If this affects Sony at all will be fun to see though. The Last Jedi sold well and it destroyed the Star Wars brand and set Lucas Film on fire, where there are now factions and major battles for control of the property. At this point, the damage is done. The only question is how much damage. In cases like these, sales are irrelevant.
The story is a meme, Neil Druckman has been revealed to be an incompetent hack who is so terrible his entire game got fully leaked and Sony has been mortally embarrassed. If you think executives are going to take an ass raping like this just for 'good sales' over one title while their competitors are waiting to pounce, you really don't grasp the magnitude of the situation.
This isn't just a game fuck-up, a developer fuck-up, its a corporate fuck up on a massive scale we rarely get to see. Sales aren't going to magically make that go away. Sony is now going to be viewed as weaker and more vulnerable in the eyes of its competitors and we can already see them over-reacting by their 'spoiler protection' on the PS5.
