The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

I really don't think that the depiction of sex is necessary to tell a story.

Sex has a lot of value to the people experiencing it, but watching it from the sideline, after being promised literally anything else, is fucking weird. Nosediving into something intimate like that is too far IMO.

just have them kissing or something, god damn

Well the issue is a lot of weebs are having autistic tantrums over it, especially after the announcement Aokana got censored on the PS4 since PQube are fucking pussies.

It can't be it has Tenchu style combat and it's a full game with no hacked off DLC.
Did we watch the same footage? It has the same godawful bamham style combat. How much does Sony pay you? What is the conversion rate from Hot Pockets to USD?

He even has to fuck her in the one sexual position that's commonly associated with gays. Hahaha wtf.
It just reads like a gay male sex scene, because it is.

I don’t, and certainly won’t, ever play this game but from what I understand it’s a post-apocalyptic genre game? I just wonder in a future where civilization has crumbled how Troons would get all their horse pee hormone pills? Does this explain why Abby basically looks like a dude but is called Abby? So even after society has crumbled people will still respect the pronouns and refer to men that look like Tom Hardy and Ed Asner by female names and “she/her” pronouns,
I mean besides the guys who are butt fucking them.

I could actually buy into a post-apocalypse future where women are scarce so men just deem certain other men as “females” for the purposes of the apocalypse version of prison sex. Sort of like apocalypse prison punks, the stronger men make the weaker roleplay women for sex.

But no titty skittles so it’s just an attempt to make gay sex more palatable to straight men with no real vagina having women to have sex with. Maybe make the punks put on a wig and lipstick when possibl.

The Arkham games were mostly just melee attacks, the sword combat still functions differently . Unless you mean the other enemies circle around you as one guy focuses in on you, that's mostly because if everyone mobbed you at once fighting becomes a pain in the ass.

Censorship isn't something I would want, if anything what I am saying is just criticism.

That being said, sexuality is a lot more approachable with an "adult" labeled visual novel. Sexuality is integral to its storytelling. It's just way too uncomfortable to add a scene like that to an action adventure game or a non-adult advertised film.

so from the bits and pieces ive watched of a stream linked joel was nice to young abby, something i missed happens and she decides to kill him with her diverse mob of mexican black and asian thugs and they get pissed at a white cis person grieving their loved ones taken by misguided sense of justice and they assault the white cis woman. well ill give them this they predicted 2020 pretty well

chat exploded with "trash" and golf jokes abounded rest assured

i dont engage with higher culture or more complex fiction, is there any example of a sex scene being even debatable to a reasonable degree? all ive seen is hack writers thinking their mass pop culture or niche autism sating explosion fests needed to be artsy but just rushing into and out of an encounter that seems like should be of greater significance and substance plot wise

No I mean the godawful slow down block until counter garbage. Ghost looks like the same trash Ubisoft has been pushing out for the last decade. This shouldn't be a suprise to anyone since Sony only has two templates for their high budget first party games, it's either a Ubishit clone (Horizon, Days Gone, Ghost Of Tsushima) or a TLOU clone (GoW), that's it. Then again Sony has never been a creative company, they've gotten by just fine by making shit tier electronics partially by sabotaging competitors.

Just a note, while Horizon is PS4 exclusive it's developed by an outside studio.

God of War was closer to a Souls game in combat than TLOU. It put a large emphasis on blocking and then going in for the kill after the enmy extended their attack animation.

The slow down mechanics are fairly common in games, even breath of the wild had them. They're just a popular means to an end to allow a player to finish stuff off quickly by timing something right. Even series like Ys have them.
