It's now assumed that any "reboot" is absolute shit and is going straight off a cliff into retardation, not even because "woke," but because shit. the fans or just the people that value the original somewhat were always skeptical of remasters/reboots since they know he qualities of the original and expect none of that will make it into the new version (some it of is fart huffing, but as history has shown they're not entirely wrong either).

the bigger issue imo is that they burned through the big IPs so hard and fast there's only niche stuff left or stuff going back decades (so minimal nostalgia value if hardly anyone can even remember it) or reboot of the reboot spiderman-style, where the IP still might have some market value left but is so fresh in people's memory they gonna compare it inadvertently.

Come back to the story of TLOU2 in six months, maybe a year, and see how it just falls apart if you look at it from basically any angle other than head-on. Also, don't expect multiplayer, Naughty Dog keeps saying its happening, but we're how long past launch and they haven't bothered implementing the most popular aspect of the original game? Shows how much ND gives a shit about you, the player, these days.

Again WHY remake it at all? It cant be for accessability...the original is on PS4 and the PS5 is backwards compatable with it so you can play TLOU 1 just fine on the PS5. I just cant think of any reason that isnt to perverse it now that Cuckmann is fully in charge.

This trailer reeks of everything that could make female-led video games its own unfortunate genre. Wise cracking lady with no personality outside of that and an expressionless face doing things and stuff, odd character choices and off-putting design (i.e. those random bangles on her arm are what give her power? Her fashion can talk? Meanwhile the landscape looks like the generic realistic and slick fantasy setting), the only male character being off-screen or the enemies one has to fight - and somehow being my favorite in this trailer regardless. And then what seems to be the big bad looking wholly underwhelming in her trailer reveal. And the dialogue... Shudders.

Some of the gameplay looks cool. Does remind me of God of War: Dad Adventures and InFamous, with some Horizon for good measure. The downside is I'd sooner play any of those games than this one.

Of course, YMMV. Looks more fun than TLOU2 at least so good on you, team Not Druckman.

Looks like a mix of Dark Souls and Infamous. Could be fun but looks pretty generic fantasy and bland. Also the main character sounds incredibly annoying. Trails of Cold Steel in all 4 games, Rean talks and sighs to himself while idling and this isn't counting all the lines he has in battle. Tales of Arise everyone talks in every battle, Final Fantasy 7 Remake everyone talks to themselves.

The reason why they do this is because it's a way of notifying the player, basically talking to the audience without breaking the 4th wall.
