Mildly interesting tidbit is that the concept art for that area is a church called the Sanctuary and IIRC it's also labeled as Sanctuary in the internal files. I believe the real building in Seattle it's based on is/was a Catholic church too. It was apparently hastily changed into a synagogue fairly late in development.

Yes, but the terrible writing and acting, aren't helping. Even her own teammates seem to dislike her on the show. She's also not charismatic enough to lead people on a personal revenge mission during the apocalypse that serves them no real purpose and is likely to get them all killed. All she had to do was capture Joel, bring him to town, show evidence of his guilt, then execute him in front of the town for being a murderer. The town will likely agree as someone like a Joel, a psychotic murderer, would attract all sorts of crime and negative attention in the long run.

She is basically responsible for carelessly leading a bunch of infected into a major city. And likely killing far more people than Joel ever did. And Joel mostly killed soldiers and military doctors. She's getting innocent people including children likely killed. It really makes no sense whatsoever. She also leaves two people alive that might come back to kill her so she's incompetent as well. I know the writers wanted to show her being morally superior to Joel by not randomly slaughtering indiscriminately but Joel idiotically also left tons of witnesses.

Also if she's in the military or some militia group she's clearly AWOL on her own personal revenge vendetta mission. And using tremendous resources as well to accomplish her goal. They are using cook stoves and tons of ammo to hunt down a fugitive in small enough numbers that only plot armor protects them. Just bad writing all around in the games and the HBO show.
