The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Doomguy being a tranny would be surprisingly progressive with his characterisation. Doesn't make it his identity, doesn't talk about it, and just gets on with his life having reached self acceptance.
It's a metaphor, man: Doomguy is battling both the demons of hell, and his own personal inner demons for the sake of outward progressiveness.
Criss-cross.
Last of Us delayed and refunds provided because of "logistical issues". Said issues immediately dissapear and a release date very close to the original is provided.
Those articles were fake or wrong, remember? The only credible source is Jason Schreier for anything on these topics. He's the big leakerman.

What do you think the logistical issues were? It was COVID-19. They could not print and distribute physical discs of games anywhere near normal capacity. That happened with FF7R, and that game was gold in early March.

I'm not sure what your point is.
They added an extra addendum to Iron Man VR concerning internal QA communication, and even though they were working on final bugs for TLOU, I imagine that the WFH solutions had some type of impact on even that.

Am I missing something here? I'm not sure what the argument is.

Why is a girl with no special powers the final boss? From a game design perspective there is nothing challenging about it. It's like kicking a kitten.

I get that the challenge might be beating up a beloved character but that's only satisfying when the character does something evil & deserves it and he/she has to be a worthy opponent.

Is there something I'm missing here?

calm down
Firstly, I am not rating old posts negatively. New ones, yes. You got a problem with that, you can kick rocks.

Secondly ironic that @OmnipotentStupidity , who unironically lives up to his name, calls me a colossal dipshit. Even though, I'm right.

I think those ratings were given simply because you're obnoxious.
I wasn't being rude to anyone before todays events. But...
Bringing facts and a slightly different opinion = obnoxious. Got it.
Didn't think the Farms was for echo chamber lovers.

Lmao cope
Also who gives a shit about ratings, only a giant pussy thats who

I don't get the comparisons to MGS2. Snake's part of the plot is barely an hour in an 20+ hour game.
From the leaks there should be half of the game with Ellie and then the Trannie McPunchie.
Mgs 2 also isnt about pissing on a beloved character
Hell, raiden is like the biggest snake dick sucker in the mgs universe

RIP and TEAR (my dick to become a beautiful goliath woman)

I dunno man, I bet a majority of amature writers could easily come up with a better story to please gamers even if its low effort and moronic. Maybe something retarded like

"Lesbian daughter goes on journey to find cure and fights mutated zombie overlord for it. Siccors hot babe with huge tittes in parts. Uh- and Gerald from the witcher shows up and slices some dudes head off. End."

I bet that would fly over easier, I mean, know your audience. Just because WWF doesnt appreciate my guys and dolls musical act on thier platform doesnt make them "sociopaths". Lol

What you're missing is how the game is structuring its narrative. Because you're playing from Abby/the asian kid's perspective and seeing swathes of her friends mercilessly wiped out by the millions, you're supposed to feel sympathy for them, because Ellie is going on a murderous bloodthirsty rampage in for the sake of revenge against a bunch of people "who didn't deserve it". And on its own, that narrative would work.

The issue comes from the fact that the people she's killing are part of a homophobic cult of extremists who want to "cleanse the land", as it were, of impure individuals and you're playing as the person who directly bludgeoned Joel to death with a golf club. If they'd made Abby a bystander, that might've helped. Hell, maybe the tragedy is that she could be unaware of their actions and was just using them to reach those two, and never intended to actually kill either of them. But because she is directly responsible, and does know of the cult's outer motives and doesn't care, the audience can't feel sympathy for her. Especially after you just watched her kill the main lead off. It's like if TFA killed off Han Solo, but instead of focusing on the Rebellion and the aftermath that everyone has to deal with, the movie tried to make you feel sorry for Kylo Ren and spent the whole second movie from his perspective as his troops start wiping out the universe and Kylo and crew destroy his warriors.

She's a prodigious killer in the first game; efficient enough to put an entire village of seasoned cannibal survivors in a state of panic. Granted, she is in her element when wielding weapons, but I seriously fail to see how a person who's spent her entire life wrestling and outmaneuvering adults (thrice her size) would even find Abby challenging in the first place. If anything, Ellie should have looked like Abby, and Abby should have been the scrawny brat that you control to evade Ellie's insatiable blood-lust. It could have served to recreate Ellie's fight with David, to show just how depraved the character is becoming.
To be fair it wouldnt be the first time a woman spent her life training only to be effortlessly blown out the water by some random troon...
