The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

This is why abby looks like a tranny because all of her features scream "MASCULINE" because said woman who was mo-capped is built like Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr. Universe with 'tits'.
She looks nothing like Arnold with tits, I mean they even made a movie about that very same subject matter.

I just saw this video my Kikemann on twitter where he outright admits to being a Sarkeesian simp and I really just wish we could send him back to 1930s Germany with a big sign around his neck reading "juden".

Wouldn't even need a sign, Neil Druckmann looks exactly like "Jud Süß".

The SA would've detected that shekel-sniffer from a mile away...

I didn't play the first game, but watched a friend play it. I wasn't really enraptured with the story and didn't care for 90% of the characters- but was willing to get it a shot since well I forgot Naughty Dog existed since Jak and Daxter - and Uncharted was just meh for me. I thought the main guy was pretty straight forward and thought the story was mediocre but my friend really loved it and cried at it.

So when I decided to watch a few of the leaks - I was genuinely - and utterly, baffled. This is a story written on the back of a napkin that you're supposed to refine? I feel more insulted that the women act like damn mortal kombat characters and that model of the new girl is horrible. There's just something off of it - and maybe it's because of the mo-cap, but it just even moves weird? The lore of the game seems to taken a veer off into shit-town too. It feels oddly insulting on a writer's perspective? I mean I didn't play it in the sense of holding the controller but I actually feel genuinely and oddly insulted for these characters and I didn't even like that much.

Why do these people break everything they touch? Like, is it a curse or a kink? Also thanks DMCA people for alerting me that this thread existed- and making sure I tell no one to buy it cause some dumbass is going to lp it on youtube and you'll get the same amount of disappointment for free!

It really comes down to the fact that Jack Dorsey skyrocketed the market value of social media clout over actual substance that to them is the product and not the game. The CEO endorses this kind of inciteful hate as long as it's woke or pseudo-woke. If it boosts their presence on Twitter to such a degree that it outweighs the value of making something actually good and selling it, why bother? Modern gaming is almost completely dead to me.

On a whim I thought I'd try the first game out again. That opening sequence actually hit me emotionally this time (I was usually apathetic towards it) and I don't know if it was because of how fucked the sequel would get or because the sequel dropped the theme of fatherhood entirely. I mean fuck, the first game starts with a single father losing his daughter, a single father that would end up getting unceremoniously killed off in the sequel. It's like, you had such a good thing going in this opening but it all means jack shit because of the sequel. And honestly, even beyond that, the sequence is well-acted and paced. It's probably the best scene in the game for me (I never finished the game and I remember the rest of the game boring me).

I'm honestly pissed at how 2 reframes the beginning of the first game to be meaningless now.

EDIT: didn't plan to doublepost, thought someone would've replied by now... <_<

But again: if people are using Kiwi Farms, with a userbase of 40,000 max, as their and are spreading this to others as a way to stick it to "them mean ol' captialist Nazi gamers" and people are changing games to go strictly against that narrative for no other reason than to stick it to the other party, not only is that a fucking terrible idea that alienates their core audience, but that would mean that KF has a lot more pull than we thought and we've just been standing idly by while the people we've been arguing about have been constantly shooting themselves in the foot to get back at us, and the crowd they think we're affiliated with. And somehow I don't think that's the case: I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog and Sony don't actually care about us and are just in damage control mode, as evidenced by them licensing out some random unaffiliated anti-piracy company in the UK to do their dirty work for them.

are you channeling your inner schreier? it's piss easy to distribute a quote, and this time they don't even have to make them up themselves. it's also doesn't mean "KF has a lot more pull than we thought". what it means is "KF is full of toxic nazi gamers". it also doesn't mean ND/sony "cares", however druckman pretty much went that route already, and unless he was fired yesterday is very much a part of ND.

while I don't really care whatever kiwis write here either, thinking a screencrap of a quote with an actual persistent link (even on an imageboard you'd have to dive into archives pretty fast and offtopic is publicly accesible) doesn't have some value for people more interested in a narrative is disingenuous at best and on the level of "no one would ever shill on 4chan".

That's what I meant actually. Legalese and all that, but it's clear they're trying to put a carrot out for the smoothbrains looking for an easy to digest narrative. Like Pilate looking for any excuse against crucifying Jesus, just look at the comments on some of these.

I also didn't actually think of that, nice analysis there!

it doesn't even make sense, in what way would someone else leaking it invalidate the claims how shit ND is? I want whatever he's smoking, can't wait for him to say you shouldn't believe a whistleblower unless he was directly affected.

I wish I was me five seconds ago so I didn't know this existed.
it's peak 90's kino
it was a better time

It just now occurred to me that Ellie wouldn't have been the first time they've dissected an immune. There's an easily missed document in either the hospital, or the university, they implies they've cut open other human subjects before, with no success.

So not only are the fireflies dumb as hell, they would have doomed a little girls life to learn... what, exactly? They already gleaned a lot of info just from studying one of her blood cultures. What were they hoping to find in her brain? Seems they were just far to eager to sacrifice someone on the off chance they can glean a little more info about the virus.

And these are a bunch of ragtag terrorists who pretend they're for the greater good. What about the military industrial complex? I'm sure they're making headway into the virus itself, too, but they'd obviously keep it hush.

the more I think about this the angrier i get, someone send help

Welcome to medical discovery 101, how the fuck do you think we know even half what we do medically? Mostly by hacking up corpses but some live ones too.

But remember, Joel's the bad guy for not wanting them to senselessly kill Ellie in a futile attempt to create a cure that likely would not work. And he's also the bad guy for murdering those doctors which is why he deserves getting beaten to death by the daughter (?) of one of those doctors.

Somehow.
