The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Are you really surprised someone very publicly attached to this is gonna come out and try and salvage it? He was never going to come out and admit the games shit, even if he personally believes it. Wait a few months/years to hear his actual thoughts on it.
With the way how Troy became autistically artistic (seeing games like TLOU as higher art and saying he‘ll never go back to voicing anime) he‘ll never stop defending this game. I‘m not surprised, but I‘m annoyed with the tone he’s using to do so.

„You‘re going to buy the game, because I say so. I AM Joel, you bigot. Accept the character I play gets unnecessarily killed off and accept Abbys feminine penis.“
We already know your character Joel dies to a jacked troon named Abby bro, and does so without really fulfilling any new arcs and serving no purpose other than to be the next Jake Skywalker.

It's cool that ND had to force you to say this shit to salvage how Druckmann's an abusive little goblin who faps to murder and beatings, but we already know. This is basic CorpSec 101, and you think voicing in Bing Bing Wahoo! is not as bad as *nO nOt ThErE oNiI-cHaAn~*.

Translation: Giuys this game is pretty shitty. Neil Druckmann is holding my family hostage. I honestly did not think that manlet was capable of something like that. I am being forced to talk positive about this game against my will. Please boycott it.

Stop attacking Troy Baker, he just suffered some serious head trauma.

I'll put money his payout is tied to how well this game does in the market. He probably negotiated a bonus based on sales and how received. If I were him I'd be doing everything in my power to counter what's going on in the market and put out as positive a spin as possible to get people to buy my game so I can GET PAID MORE $$$$ AND NOT VOICE SHITTY ANIME EVAR.

Put his response in that light and you can understand his motivation.

The funniest part about this was when Kotaku or Polygon or one of those other shithole sites saw this trailer bitched about the violence against women (despite, y'know, the violence also being commanded by a woman). To his credit, Druckmann responded and said the game was for adults, basically calling the people bitching about it immature.

At the time I thought Druckmann was smart in the way he stood up for himself. Now I realize both sides were fucking morons.
Both sides can't be right, but both sides can be wrong.

Y'know, that also begs the question of why Abby doesn't just kidnap Ellie and then take her in for testing to find a cure somehow. Wouldn't that make more sense than beating her senseless and mutilating her out of petty revenge even though it was her father that wronged Abby?
Horse piss-rage. If they are to insist that Abby is a cis woman thats the most suspension of disbelief I can give. That she wanted to bulk up but there are no steroids so she went back to the old ways and drinks stallion piss. And in any case she "Abby" would be having to taking in much more than her fair share for requisite bulk up calories.

I doubt it, the whole* Critical Role circlejerk squad is full-on TDS. If not Voice Actors as a whole. (And with it, my hope of getting in that business.)

*(The only one that seems to keep it in check is Taliesin, but even then he's probably has his spergouts and I'm just lucky to have missed it. I really don't follow celebs on twatter so i 'unno)

Neil how we feeling dog ?

i give this video 4 days before it reachs the 150k-135k unlikes peak.

a long wait just to realize how a tranny murder the Main character of the first game: Flawless shittiest logic in the game designer perspective.

how are they supposed to come with TLOU3 if Joel didn't even make it in the 2nd game ?!?!?!
hope i'm aint jinxing it because a 3rd game its just gonna be as garbage as this one :cryblood::stress:

You know, this isn't the first time a game has tied itself in a knot to make the player feel bad about something they did in a previous game.

One mission in GTA IV has Niko chasing down and killing a couple of bikers on the orders of a mobster. Then the DLC expansion The Lost and Damned comes along and reveals that one of the bikers you killed was Jim Fitzgerald, one of Johnny's good friends and a major character in the DLC. As TV Tropes put it "To Johnny, Jim was the closest of friends. To Niko Bellic, Jim was just a nameless kill among many nameless kills." There's just one tiny problem.

This is Jim.

These are the guys you kill in that mission. The guy on the left is supposed to be Jim.

Yeah, totally the same person.

Wasn't Halo 4's story awful in this regard? I remember there being a new breed of SPARTANs who were all completely unlikeable. One of them even killed the protag from ODST and faced no ramifications for it
Halo 5's story is probably what you're thinking of, 5 had basically text book false advertising for the story of 5, it plays nothing like a halo game should either.

But we will see how 343 either kills halo or maybe saves it with infinite, as this is sorta their last shot at actually bringing any sort of semblance to the Halo name again. Hopefully it doesn't get the treatment that TLOU2 is getting from shitty directors that have no clue what they're doing and only care for inserting political shit into peoples faces.

Hey, bro Jim was obviously translatinecks, how dare you ass-ume he was one of the wypipos?

This man finally made a video about this game
He raises a good point regarding they didn't have the knowledge of stories that "subvert expectations" are hated by the fanbase, using Star Wars, GoT, etc as example.

What gets me though, is that in my opinion Naughty Dog make games that are in a heavily saturated genre, like on the surface Uncharted is just a tomb raider spin off. It was only until I played Uncharted 2 (I played this after the tomb raider remake) I was just blown away. Who the hell would even dare think of releasing a zombie game in 2013 when that shit already died like 5 years before?

They were able to do something new to an overdone genre.

But I think this is the result of Druckmann getting to cocky over this IP, thinking he can do whatever he wants to and the fans will just eat it up, which is a bad approach.

Another example is No More Heroes 2 villain being related to people you killed in a grinding side-quest in No More Heroes 1, though 2 at least acknowledged that it was all pretty retarded.

Not that it matters, considering the gigantic shit Rockstar took on Johnny and the Lost in GTA 5.
