The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

You're all being autistic ally optimistic if you think this game finishes anyone's career but the low level coders'.
Seriously. The project lead for Fallout 76 is still in the same job role at Bethesda. Mac Walters was promoted to project lead after writing Mass Effect 3. Tim Schafer had to personally fuck over practically every major publisher in the industry before the money tap was turned off and he had to resort to crowdfunding.
This is not an industry where failure, even financial failure (which I think we can all agree publishers care far more about than fan backlash) is so swiftly punished that Druckmann's guaranteed to be on the outs.

Maybe so, but presently we have Covid and Riots going on to affect the economy -- even China's Guangzhou is presently flooded like God himself took a piss on them. We'll see how much eats into their profits from either.

On the other hand though ME3 essentially killed Casey Hudson's career and that looks to be on par with this disaster.
Killed his career? He's the head of the studio after leaving for a brief hiatus at Microsoft.

I don’t speak moonrunes but I guess even IGN Nipniggers aren’t buying into this shit

And what has he done since ME3? Nothing. Hell what has Bioware done since Anthem bombed three years ago besides have high profile employees flee like rats from a sinking ship? That's right, nothing.
I think you fundamentally don't understand white-collar career tracks or corporate office culture if you classify multiple promotions and salary increases as "killing his career". Even when Bioware dies Hudson will probably move laterally, if not upwards, at his next job.

Blizzard got Diablo 2 taken away and given to Vicarious Visions after they asked if people had phones and then promptly shat on Warcraft 3.

The way that runner just flailed down the mountain looks so fucking stupid.

That ragdoll looks like something I'd see out of Turbo Dismount, not a supposedly post-apocalyptic action-horror game.

Anthem came out last year. Feels like forever ago, though

Why is Skill Up now telling everybody to not let his review deter them from buying a potential GOTY?

If he doesn't want people to listen to his review, then why is he in the review business?

Very weird.

He wants to still get free review copies and maintain access at Sony.

Strap in, here comes something long and autistic
I read something on reddit saying that neil druckman having his employees watch snuff/gore videos was A-OK because they had the right to refuse Which i would get that, but one has the consider the fact that given his seat of power, most of them would probably feel awfully pressured not to refuse
theres also the possibility of the 'right to refuse' was just a formality, and that he could have coerced his employees to do it anyways
thats not even getting into the psychological rammifications of this, which druckman probably shielded himself with a mixture of a NDA (iirc i dont think we ever heard the snuff thing was legit, officially) and liability waiver. Law Enforcement who has to go through videos showcasing sexual abuse/snuff and whatnot usually have to go into therapy after six months (or weeks, i cant honestly remember which) and these are people trained in dealing with such matters, not shut-in programmers keep to tight nit social circles
So i doubt if anything happens as a result to the snuff shit, if it were true, i dont think they'd be getting anyhelp from naughtydog
unlike the Law Enforcement officers do
Now, someone might point out that one of my statements are fairly callous against Druckman, as i dont truly know him and he'd have no real reason to be that bad. My counterpoint to that would be that druckman, atleast in the words of some reviews from a few more prominent sources, wants to spin the narrative of how he views people, fully self absorbed and barely civilized, i feel it would only be fitting to few him in that exact light, as for the why? Money and pride, simply enough

I am looking far more towards Goodbye Volcano High than i am Super Smash Preggers

Goodbye Horses 2: Goodbye Unborn Child

Okay. Serious question. How many is this actually going to sell?

I foresee a large initial peak as preorders and NPCs shell out, then a fall off as people realise the leaks were accurate and that this is a stupid game with a stupid plot, and then crawling along until it hits bargain bins, upon where there'll be another peak as a meme game.

Total sales, about 12 million, the vast majority of which in the first week.

It will probably get a $39.00 price point on a PSN sale around christmas and get a boost.
