Yes but it's always tempting to go back and "make things right" for some companies even after a bomb of a sequel, hell deus ex did that like a decade after invisible war. I do think whatever a "part 3" would be it would result in an endless trash fire, but often times revivals happen for two reasons brand recognition and wanting to bring a series out of the ashes of the past, both of which a future wanna be "auteur" at naughty dog will probably attempt in the future.

Nah, DX:IW is under-rated. It doesn't live up to the original, and it casualized a lot of the interesting FPS as RPG elements, but there's still a lot of interesting stuff to check out there.

I think that does pretty much align with human nature tho... Dogs / animals in general are essentially always innocent.... or at the very least are not capable of deceit or guile. They pretty much never deserve whats coming to them. The same thought process holds true for little kids... but for grown adults? Well, they are more than capable of being complete shit. To some degree, I think we all victim-blame if even only for a moment.... it's something subconscious... "maybe that person was an asshole and deserved it".

Even though the game sucks, they still made bank. Look at the soyboy that bought every edition of the game. The game sold well, especially with pre-orders, and is most likely a "success" from a financial and critical standing. Oh, they gender swapped a few of the characters and made Jessica and probably the rest of the Bene Gesserit into warrior priestesses rather than space nuns. Hmmm.
