KDE has an option to disable the compositor when you're running something in full-screen (ie most games).If you wanted to game on Wayland. Hyprland is what you would need to use. At least fps matters. They've allowed you to disable vsync for a while. The others I believe might, be about to implement it.
Too bad drew devault has had any kind of influence on Wayland at all. Maybe if it wasn't for him and his faggot friends, the other Wayland window managers and desktops would be a bit further along like hyprland.
People who hate Wayland based on their experiences a few years ago would do well to give it another go. A lot of kinks have been ironed out. I can plug my laptop into a dock and the monitor will click to life with proper resolution scaling, including different scales on different monitors. X11 only does one scale for all monitors, and hotplugging monitors has always been hit or miss with it.
