PS. With all due respect to Indiana Tech, if they are a lolcow, Cooley is super-blend of OPL and @Holden. A minor point, I know, but Cooley really is "special" -- whenever I meet a colleague from Cooley at a CLE event, they *always* preface their educational history with "yes, I know, but . . ."
Indiana Tech is new and for a while they had a dean 1)who spelled his name with all lower case letters 2) Specializes in Hip Hop and the US constitution, but ya Cooley (or Western Michgin University Cooley School of Law) is a whole special category, like Chris it is and always will be king of the Lolcows. Up here go to a random TTTT no one will care... go to Cooley or Bond(basically Cooley on a awesome surfing beach in OZ) or it will be I went to school in the US but NOT at Cooley

My cousin-in-law (I think that's what she is?) is a Cooley grad. She's also failed the bar. Twice.

I hold a PhD, but am interested in the prospect of going to Law School. IP is hot and I think it may be a fun thing to do. Do law schools have GA programs? I don't want to pay for it, but I will do some research for them.

I'm in a similar position but outside of the US. I considered law school after my bachelors (I was in US then), took LSATS (176), then decided to go into a different field. Pretty happy to date. Where I live there is a gap of both people in my field and lawyers to decide cases. Since my background and education is already in a specific science I can take a subsidized and accelerated program to enter law. Definitely considering it since I could take a break from private sector to raise my kid and stuff without too much of an economic hit.
