I'd argue though that MtG is, as The Quartering so succintly put it, the most exciting game to play and the most boring one to watch largely in part because we don't really get to see these crazy decks in major streams.

I would relish the opportunity to see a major stream where aside maybe from deck size limits there was a wild-west kind of mentality where we get to see these really crazy decks highlighted in play with pros who have been around forever. BFM, Knights of the Hokey Pokey, all legal... that would be great.

I wonder, is there any video of the Auction of the People rounds back when they did the Invitationals? Because that would be a crazy format to watch, at least at the beginning.

The MTG community is autistic as anything else I've seen. It's so ingrained into the culture now and the vast majority of players all want to be left alone so they just abide by it.

Jeremy himself is a sycophant who just wants to be the next Sargon, but he at least does a good job highlighting the ridiculousness of WOTC and those in the higher echelon of the community.

They bow down to any female who enters the arena. It's really sick. I remember when Jeremy was banned and it was the most mind-boggling thing I've ever seen. Of course female cosplayers and models see whats happening and they want to profit off of it. That's all fine but to ban someone for who actively points it out is moral grandstanding at the highest level.

Magic Aids is just another example. I'm not unconvinced that they watched his content, heard a lot of the off-color jokes he makes in his videos and banned him based on that.

I'm still surprised nobody has mentioned people seeing wedge in MTG art groups looking into buying art after getting damn near $100k for a back surgery cause he didn't have insurance. That shit reminded me of lowtax type shit honestly.

Magic Aids is not taking his whole situation with WOTC well.
I'm watching this without audio and skipping around, and a grown man RPing with a blowup doll of what is probably Lilliandra arguing as a strawman has me dying :story:

EDIT: 2:28 is the only timestamp that matters, could be a vine at that point.

To say nothing of traveling to a fantastically expensive GP without insurance.

A Store of Fire and Dice in Lynbrook, New York just had their WPN status revoked by Wizards of the Coast for apparently having a Kekistani flag hanging in the bathroom instead of in the trash can where it belongs. Regardless, Wizards has declared the store "unfit for play" for hate speech presumably.

In pure Jeremy fashion, he starts the video very solemn, begging us to like and share the video and swearing that he "never usually asks you to like the video before watching," meanwhile he asks this every fucking video.

Obviously, the usual suspects are defending this, Saffron in particular since he was the one who signal boosted the information to Wizards.

Good stuff.

WotC must be getting their hate symbols from Antifa, cause the Kekistan flag was listed on flyer of "hate symbols" that was being passed around on facebook the other day.

WotC is doubling down on getting those woke points, like many game companies these days. It'll be interesting to see if Wizards keeps this behavior up since it seem public opinion is shifting a little more to the right of center.

I'm guessing the stuff will die down sooner or later considering it did in the 90's but it definitely seems like it's going to take longer than it did then.

Holy shit, I've played there once before. That's annoying.

I'm sure this quote from this recent video sums up my feelings exactly:
Best product in the world sold by the worst company in the world. -Rudy

Too bad he didn't catch it on tape. You have to be pretty crazy to assault a guy for... are people still angry at Jeremy for the cosplayer thing?
It was at a bar and apparently they tryin to get the CCTV released to police or something.

But yeah...hilarious as this is it is profoundly messed up that
a) there are SJW fanatics derranged enough to physically assault people for years old wrongthink in the fucking childrens card game fandom
b) that if this happened to some woke SJW figure of equivilent non-fame, this would probably have made global headlines by now
