The Main Developer for Denuvo has been allegedly caught engaging in illicit conversations with a Minor. - Apparently he asked a 13 year old girl to strip for him in lieu of monetary compensation.

Fucking over people that had actually bought the games will make people not want to buy the games.

Before Steam it was pretty much a rule that DRM sucked so much that pirating it was a better experience than paying for it, so why the fuck would you pay to be punished for paying for it, when pirating was so much more convenient?

Vidya company retard logic, punish your actual customers while pirates rape you in your dumb, gay butthole and have a better time too.

You had the same thing with videotapes/DVD's back in the day. Legit copies would have 10 minutes of advertisement and faggot FBI warnings and the pirated copies would just get you straight to the content - just an objectively superior experience.

Sony even put rootkits in their music CDs back in the day, and got a TON of flack for it. They also created the infamous SecuROM DRM that was the scourge of gamers back in the 2000s. SecuROM was so hated that it made Spore the 2nd most pirated game back in the game, only behind The Sims games, and The Sims 2's later Expansion Packs also had SecuROM included.

Wow, between this and the Tumblr CEO being accused of human trafficking, it looks like this week is a reckoning for the most societally destructive tech companies and the degeneracy of their leadership. Next I want the entire C-suite of Google hanged for diddling.

TCD.

Fun fact: Metaphor ReFantazio (aka, Persona 6, aka big-budget weeb game of the month) shipped with Denuvo and got cracked a few days ago by swapping in the demo executable.
The demo (and the demoswap 'crack') builds are averaging 6-10fps higher framerate than the Denuvo release according to people who've run both. Fuck Denuvo.

It's like the real age of piracy. Being a (successful) pirate was much better than serving on a ship of the line or working as a merchant sailor.

..Why would you ever hope that somebody is a pedophile?
i dont, i just like that my disgust for them is retroactively bolstered. obviously if i was god and the prompt appeared "do you want this dev to be a child rapist or not be able to insult him as much" id rather not be able to insult him as much.

Edit also why are my posts always the ones where people see a phrasing that's subpar and immediately assume the worst? What I'm just going to make a post replying to you saying "oh totally I hoped kids would be raped 100 percent to own a shitty software dev". Can we not just assume that's not what I meant? And instead that I simply like the retroactive justification for hating his software even if the cost wasn't worth it and innocent kids were unfortunately hurt? Or not even that I "like" that silver lining even but rarher that i am just focusing on less dark aspects of a shitty situation?

For some reason every time I log in I end up talking about Denuvo, hopefully this clears up some stuff though.

But for starters, this is all fake to the best of my knowledge.
For a source we've got to go all the way back to the EXETOOLS forum, not the exetools.live shown but exetools.com, which the Xitter account that made the thread calls a warez forum, it isn't.

EXETOOLS is one of the oldest if not the oldest reverse-engineering forum online, mrexodia, the developer of Denuvo and the person being accused was a moderator on there, as you can see on his profile on any thread. I don't know all the details since I wasn't there at the time, but there was some sort of a fight between a user by the name of TechLord and some other users, which included mrexodia. I don't know the reason for this, but mind the mentioned TechLord is an user whose posting history goes back to 2001-2005.

TechLord eventually left the forum in 2019, but not without throwing a fit of rage and accusations. Calling the user by the name of "chants" a jihadi, something that will make sense in a moment, note the date of the post - 01-12-2019.

So, what the fuck is the site the Xitter OP is using as source?
EXETOOLS.LIVE was registered not even a month later, on 02-07-2019. Its first article was written a month before the domain was registered, but still shows the sole purpose of the site, "exposing" the actual EXETOOLS site.
Just after that, the second article is a dig at mrexodia.

The important part of this article is the end, where he says:
"How Mr Exodia attempted to harass and take advantage of me sexually when I asked him for help reversing a PC-based computer game protected with DENUVO would require a full blog post"

The proof? None at the time, some screenshots later, the ones being used in the Pirat_Nation post.
How convenient, it seems like the moderator that he had a fight with tried to groom his sister, that for some reason took over his brothers account and offered $80 for a game crack, not only that but he's enough of a retard to do it all from his main account, connected to his real identity, believable right?

Then the next and third post proceeds to call the previously mentioned user "chants" a terrorist and jihadi recruiter, along with p4r4d0x and atom0s, two other users of EXETOOLS which he also has problems with.

Ahmadmansoor: The Syria-eXeTools Terrorism Connection

The dude is now accusing the forum of having connections to Syrian terrorism. Why? Because in some Wikileaks document, the forum is mentioned in someone's signature, simple as. Of course there's no shred of proof, and this is just an email between millions of emails on a leak that is not even on terrorism, but of random Syrian companies and government sites.

You can notice all the comments were posted over the span of 3 or 4 days after the post, all agreeing with the poster.
Needless to say, and in case anyone still doubts it, the exetools.live (and other sites he also uses to slander individual users) are all TechLord's doing after going on a several year-long sperg about getting banned and mocked. Just see any of the many posts dedicated to defending himself, the ones that match the writing style or the ones repeating his own points on forum posts.

To this day the dude is still posting stuff about users, in what is the worst fit of rage I've ever seen. A grown ass man dedicating years of his life to slandering random people that disliked him in some forum last decade, this is not exclusive to the Denuvo guy but any single one that had a problem with him when he was still not banned on the forum.
He still updates the blog, with the most recent piece being only a few months old.

TL;DR - There's a forum where the dude being called a pedo was a mod, some user of this site had a fight with him and some other users and got btfo, then proceeded to create a series of websites dedicated to slander them, going as far as calling them anything sort of pedos, jihadists to drug addicts and porn site admins.

There are still pieces and bits missing but I feel like I'm sperging almost as much as him, so I'll stop for now. Ask if you have a question and I'll try to answer if I know how to. And don't get me wrong, I don't like a Denuvo a bit, but calling some dude a pedo over it when it's all fake schizoposting just doesn't sit well with me.

I think serious accusations need to be taken seriously, i.e not blindly running with them because you want to retroactively feel "retroactively justified" in hating a really crummy yet far more innocent action or aspect of someone's life.
I'm naturally skeptical when it comes to mere allegations especially when they're first brought up online instead of to the police or any sort of law enforcement.

And, what's the response? Is it also confirmed that this is real?

So, he's talking to this "Mergin", but then he says at the end to delete the message before "Mergin" sees it? So these sisters share accounts or something? Is he talking to the other one? And how is he so sure that she'll read the message before "Mergin"?

The viewport of that image is also odd.
It's probably an old screenshot judging by the older Firefox UI

I also think it's weird an automated inbox is named fucking Aaron.

Don't know if I should believe this or not

Yet we'll see companies still use Denuvo no matter the reputation hit. Think instead of paying to have Denuvo on their games the CEOs of said companies send Denuvo CP? :story:
All these anti-whatever tools suck eh? Enigma is made by a single Russian dev pretending to be a large team, Denuvo is the bane of even legitimate buyers and is made by a pedophile, anti-cheats like GameGuard steal your data, fuck your games up, and doesn't do what it was made to do, it's all just sad and yet they'll continue to be used.

potentially fake.

i actually found them on reddit saying they had gone to police from 6 years ago.

Yet another reason not to feel even a trace of guilt about hoisting the black flag and sailing the high seas.

It really baffles me that not only do people just not consider pirating before buying (or not buying at all if the game is shit) but even day 1 or even preorder a game. Bonus points if you do it with a company notorious for fucking up games and constantly need week 1 patching to fix shit. I'd seen it a few times on this website which is just pure niggercattle behavior. I try not to be a dick to people who aren't being dickish themselves but oh baby when they do...

Preordering or griftfunding strikes me as absolutely insane. I mean I'll gladly pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today but I'm certainly not going to pay you for a hamburger six months from now or never. Shit's ass-backwards.

I generally don't pirate these days unless something is otherwise unavailable, because I'm an adult and have enough money to pay for the very occasional game I buy and actually want to reward the people who made it, but I'm not remotely going to complain if teenagers or otherwise broke people pirate shit they wouldn't have paid money for anyway.

I'd consider pirating something I'd want to play but hate the developers enough, but the developers I hate mostly produce absolute shit I wouldn't even want to poison my mind with.

There used to be good reasons for doing that in the past but these days the only reason for doing it is to be able to click "download" exactly at midnight or whatever.
