The Mars Volta are awesome.
They were(they broke up a couple weeks ago
) a Texas-based progressive rock band(fronted by monstrous guitarist/songwriter Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and monstrous singer-songwriter Cedric Bixler-Zavala) with elements of post-hardcore(carried over from their previous band, At The Drive-In), psychedelic, jazz fusion, latin rock, and noise. Personally my three favorite albums of theirs are Deloused in the Comatorium, Frances the Mute, and The Bedlam In Goliath, and my favorite TMV song is Cassandra Gemini.
But what do you think of them? What's your favorite TMV song? Album? Do you wish they didn't break up?
