In this clip from American Circumcision, Jonathon Conte expresses the loss of trust he experiences while coming to terms with his circumcision. He fought against the practice as an intactivist (intact + activist) pushing for babies' bodies to remain intact, just the way they were born. Two years ago, he died by suicide; he is survived by his partner, Christopher Holden.

Georgetown University professor Ryan McAllister hears the stories of many men who have been circumcised and feel they cannot share their feelings about the experience with anyone else. After hearing many traumatic and stigmatizing stories, he says, "If you are willing to accept a man's feelings about circumcision as valid, then you have to question circumcision."

The film's director, Brendon Marotta, said in an interview with Plus (The Advocate's sister magazine) that the longterm harm is undisputed, stating, "Even the most pro-circumcision doctor in our film admits the pain from circumcision creates a lasting change in behavior that has been scientifically proven. Change in behavior is a form of memory, what in this case is known as somatic memory. The idea that early life experiences can shape who we are is scientifically proven.”

Marotta goes on to connect the procedure to toxic masculinity, "When it comes to toxic masculinity or rape culture, one of our interview subjects notes that circumcision teaches men that if you are bigger and stronger than someone else, you get to do what you want to their body. It teaches this in their first shared sexual experience, the first time someone else touches their genitals, and in the relationship all other relationships will be patterned on, their relationship with their mother."

Historically, the practice was also done in other English speaking countries, including the UK and Australia, (and still common in South Koreaand the Philippines). It was also done to women with the same anti-masturbation rationale.
The original Jewish practice dating back to antiquity was just a slice off the tip, not the total removal done today.

It was spread to those countries from the USA, both through the natural spread of ideas like in the UK or through direct occupation like the Philippines and S.Korea.

Look I don't disagree circumcision is especially obsolete in this day and age but fucking lol if you can't laugh at these hysterical idiots trying to make lack of a single portion of manbits some kind of a political movement.

Are we gonna get foreskin hats to go with pussy hats soon

The problem with these guys is that while infant circumcision is pointless, the whole "intactivist" movement is just full of low-cows.
They'll go into discussions about FGM and completely take over until everyone else just gives up in disgust. (I've seriously seen some idiots claim that male circumcision is worse than FGM.) One guy on the Straight Dope repeatedly started topic after topic claiming it was like being raped, and how he'd never have a successful relationship because of it, blah blah blah. People asked him if it was botched. Nope, he was just "wronged".

And don't even get me started on Foreskin Man.

I'm not for routine circumcision. But let's get some perspective, people.

look at all of these people that can't wash their own dick.

also look at all of these people who claim uncut dick looks disgusting, but in reality when an uncut dick is at full mast, it looks the same as a cut dick, just with some added girth below the glans.

Unless you have aardvaark dick, in which case, 'k.

Besides all genitalia is kinda goofy-looking, if you actually sit down and think about it. But as long as it's clean and works properly, does anyone really give a shit? I sure as hell don't.

Inactivists tend to be lolcows by default. Sitting on your ass and capslock screaming on twitter seldom fixes things, but it makes them feel righteous, like they "made an effort" and so on.

I imagine the removal of labia is roughly leading to the same dryness issue, but yep clipping off the clitoris is more damaging.

But oy vey, this is sexist! We really should chop off the tip from boys too, how else will I get my wallet goyim?

i wish these people didn't sound so hysterical, because all it does is undermine their cause. it should be enough to demonstrate that there's no good reason to whittle away at your kid's dong

I think people assume that being passionate about a cause means to go absolutely insane over it. It just makes you look crazy. Linked to toxic masculinity? What isn't these days?

Just state your case and keep at it. No need to use crazy SJW buzzwords.

It's literally a useless surgical procedure and it should have been easy to just say stop doing this dumb shit, it's pointless. But people screaming maniacally about it just sound like they have such tiny dicks that they're completely assablasted about losing even a barely significant part of it.

Agreed. I'd never in a million years chop up one o my kids' genitals, or even neuter a doggo. But these people are the whingeingest bunch of cuckspeak faggots going. If they didn't cry so much they'd attract normal men to advocate for their cause, rather than the kind of crybabies, hystrionics, and SJW loons that so often grace the hallowed barns of KF.
