The Mining Pit

Hate to sound like a fangirl but this is fucking cool and I hope it continues to work.

Also, based on this development I'mma buy me some Monero. Been holding off and waiting to see which "anonymous" currency would emerge from the crowded field, but I think it's time to back a horse. If a prestige site like Kiwi Farms mines it, XMR is clearly the future.

I like the emphasis on privacy as well. Dash is also there is that's a requirement.

I like this, I had a small amount of bitcoin but I put it into a ethereum-based ICO and it was bugging me that I hadn't supported the site considering the amount of time I'd used it.

@neger psykolog We've broken $10 in a day (2:30am to 11:50pm). This will work. This is more than what we made with Google AdSense. In a week or two I'll write an article and submit it to a few bitcoin blogs. Hook me up with suggestions.

That's really great. It's really amazing because this is the first legitimate usage of this kind of browser based mining I've personally seen anywhere. There may be some other site doing it which I'm not aware of, but I haven't heard or seen anything or seen anything beyond theories and examples.

So this is pretty much groundbreaking/history being made.

This is really cool. I've disabled my adblock for this site so I can contribute.
Thanks for disclosing this and explaining how it works. I think this has solved my mystery regarding websites that were causing unexplained (and really large) CPU loads.

Now I can browse threads about Vordrak and make money to keep the farms going at the same time!

Kind Regard$$$$

Also, putting a running tally of our total generated currency would have me checking back three times a day.

Yeah - i'd like to see a public header that shows the total and daily revenue we've all generated in real time or some way to privately see how much we personally generate for the site.

What is your tablet's resolution? My block is just a really dinky screen resolution check.

Most iPads these days use these res:

2048 x 1536
2732 x 2048
2224 x 1668

Most 4-3 aspect ratios will be tablets, since desktop monitors these days seem to mostly be 16x9 or 16x10. Any of the above res would be tablets (or ancient but super-high-tech CRTs)

@Glaive did it first. I really like that @Null is big enough to swallow his pride and follow in the footsteps of a trailblazing internet luminary.

I wonder when Sam is gonna make a "something something paedophile something" article about this.

I hope so soon, he's lost his nuts this year, like a pedo cuck. He was neck and neck with Kjel Anderson for the 2016 Mooby and he's fallen off the hardest of all the finalists since the autistic Voltron went haywire after the suspension of the site. It's sad how wrecked donkey wrong left him after fucking him only to leave him squirming on stage for everyone to point at to laugh. Funny still, but sad for a once proud terrorist lolcow.

I've increased the kiwi circle engines to full a day or so ago, it's running OK, I notice maybe an eyeblink's of time worth of slowdown at that level in page loads. Resource monitor shows :heart-full: use on the cores so I'm guessing it's working as intended.

I leave my laptop running 24/7. It doesn't do anything important overnight so would that be a good time to click the circle and let it use more of my pitiful CPU power?

I did that last night, my power settings let the machine sleep after like five hours or something of idle on charge, logged back into it when I woke up and everything seemed fine. Might as well make the mechanical death of the components approach while doing something productive for a vile den of scum and villainy is how I look at it. Especially if it sticks it to the 'man.'

@Null I'm curious, how much are we making? Tossed the idea around and a few site admins I know were really interested on implementing it.

my browser keeps getting quitting errors and reloads ever since this has been implemented, and my laptop gets super hot and the fan goes on, much like it does every time I visit radaronline.

It reloads like every 5-10 min, which sucks if I'm the middle of making a post.

Other than that yeah, totally stoked about this.
