>upstart team in the West going for their 2nd championship
>Inevitably going to be playing the Spurs in the WCF
>East is weak

Welcome back to the 2000s fellas
To boot, that upstart team has a controversial guard who's great from the midrange while the spurs got a defensive powerhouse flanked by two young guards who're looking to have all-star upside in the future. Hopefully the absence of any parallel to Shaq means we've diverged far enough that Shai isn't going to rape anyone.

Somewhat surprised by how much trouble Detroit is having with Cleveland. I know any team from the East is just destined to get fed to OKC, But the Pistons are just so much more reliant on Cade than I had realized throughout the year.
They've won games handily without Cade this season so it's infuriating how hard they're flailing when things actually matter. Typical fucking Pistons.

I don't like how close this game is already given that (allegedly) half the Cavs roster has fucking diarrhea.

They're looking okay but this very much feels like one where shit could change quickly.

Thats why I put money on them to win the Championship, because of that stretch where Cade was out with a collapsed lung. Who could have predicted that Duren playing like luke warm hotdog water for the ENTIRE playoffs? They better not give him a max unless something changes FAST!

Edit (in lieu of double post): LOL Dean Wade just slipped in James Hardens flop sweat, and turned the ball over for an uncontested jam from Tobias Harris. Serves that soft-ass faggot Harden right for flopping like a fish. That should be the punishment for flopping, tape banana peels to the offenders shoes.

I hadn't been watching the Pistons games, but Duren was great in the regular season and might make an all-nba team. Was there some schematic reason he shut down in the playoffs, or did he just sorta forget how to play basketball?

Is the defensive gameplan against Wembanyama Hope & Pray? Lol. Reminds me of Yao Ming where if they're on their game there just isn't much you can do. When you're that tall and in the zone, the only thing that can derail you are injuries. Scary prospect for other teams if this man stays healthy.

The scary thing is that he's still really raw. Tries to block 3s (what), has a weird shot selection and is prone to turning it over if he gets swarmed in the low post. A few more years of development and this shit will get unfair.

Wemby is such a fucking nigger oh my god. Lowering your shoulder and charging into Caruso is so needless. Zero impulse control.
He was given the green light by the league after a clear flagarant 2 did not result in a suspension for game 5. No matter how blatant he has the superstar sheen to tone down the punishment.
