Let's see also if the Super Bowl ads will be very good as well. There's lots of people who only watch it for the ads. Unfortunately, there's some good ads who might not air it all.

Noooooooo come on, all media companies are the same neoliberals, just interested in making money! Surely they wouldn't block advertisers just for ideological reasons!

Please, someone explain how this is not further evidence of the blatantly obvious leftist slant in mainstream media.

I know everyone hates the Pats and Brady in particular, but winning one last Super Bowl in a near-perfect rematch of his first Super Bowl win (down to the same day of Feb 3) would make for one hell of a football story.

EDIT: As nice of a bookend as this wound up being it happened in the most boring manner possible.

I love to hate him. He plays well, I just hate it when he beats the team I root for.

Spongebob is trending on Twitter right now. Sweet Victory did play... but it was a clip to introduce Travis Scott's Sicko Mode song. People are pissed off voicing their thoughts but i think this guy takes the cake.

Read from bottom to top.

Trafon's shit is only the tip of the iceberg. It seems like everyone on Twitter is fucking melting down.

Look, I get that it's fucking disappointing that it was only a poorly animated cameo, especially as over 1 million people signed the petition for the song to be performed, but these people (especially Trafon, who really needs a thread IMO) really needs to calm the fuck down and stop treating this as the NFL, Maroon 5, or Pepsi shitting on Hillenberg's grave. At least I can say that the salt on Twitter is more entertaining than the half-time show itself.

I bet the only reason they chose Sicko mode was because of its meme appeal. You know, an internet trend motivated by those people who also petitioned in Spongebob.

Guess the old white men favoring their black monkey-meme won over the passion of American cartoonist pride. Next up: Let's lynch Elmo.

Proof that Maroon 5 is woefully out of touch with its audience.

I mean the halftime show is one thing (and I usually don't give too shits about football in general, let alone the Superbowl). But the fact the song choice is just as forced as their SpongeBob intro really shows how little the care about anything these days.

And besides, I doubt this is going to affect them more than it did the Janet Jackson or Black Eyed Peas halftime shows.

In a totally unexpected twist, the Patriots have won the Superbowl again. Good defensive game, but holy shit. I can't believe only 1 touchdown was scored throughout the whole day. That has to be a record.
Nice to see the Rams act all macho in the first quarter but as soon as Pats started scoring, they became more and more humble.
