I don't know which is more amazing. The comeback or that McDaniels wasn't fired instantly on the sideline.
Aren't the Raiders cash strapped or something so they can't pay out McDaniels contract? Either way Baker is just a back up here and as soon as Stafford comes back its over for him in LA. This is just a nice little feel good story for when some shitty team decides they don't want their QB anymore and maybe give Baker another shot

I'm not sure Stafford is coming back. I think some of his 'concussion' symptoms might be spine related.
Wouldn't be surprised. Bilateral lower extremity numbness is definitely a spine thing.

Spinal cord injuries suck. There's a secondary injury cascade when your body tries to heal the injury but kills glial cells in the process, who leak glutamate that can cause excitotoxicity in nearby glial cells, who then die and leak their glutamate...

Symptoms can slowly worsen for months after the initial injury. It'll be a while before anyone knows if Stafford is coming back.

This is his second spinal cord injury that we know of. What could he possibly return for? He got a ring and he still gets the guaranteed money in his contract.

He kinda throws like he's a midget.

Especially after that fantastic punt. After watching the comeback he still can throw, so I would say his issues in Carolina was either bad coaching or him being so far in his head over the Browns fucking him he wasn't playing like he could. Or both.

So Brock Purdy is something else. Up 28-0 at half with the 9ers over Tom Brady and the Bucs, now up 35-0? Feels like the joke up thread about central NFL office script writing was close to the truth, but the only shenanigans so far was the questionable defensive hold on the INT play. The kid has looked ok, better than Tom in this game.

Just as I was about to make a post about how hard the Niners are butt fucking the Bucs, McCaffrey goes on a huge run for a TD. 35-0 early in the 3rd quarter. wow

Over in Denver the Chiefs looked like they were going to demolish the Broncos in similar fashion by starting off 27-0, but Mahomes has been picked twice and Wilson is actually showing up with 3 TD passes. It's 27-21 still for the Chiefs late in the 3rd and they'll likely hold on, but at least Denver isn't getting blown out like I thought they would. Also Travis Kelce became the fastest tight end to each 10,000 receiving yards, the 5th ever to do it.

I take back what I said about the NFC West being the Seahawks' division to lose. If the fucking Panthers can put up these kinds of numbers against our defense, at home, and SF just spent the afternoon teabagging Brady, we'll be lucky to hold McCaffrey to 3 TDs on Thursday. Purdy was pretty special today too.
Ah well. Even a wildcard spot is an achievement from our preseason expectations. If we end with a middling record I'm still happy. Lots of good development from rookies today, it was hurt veterans and an awful depth chart that killed us today.

Honestly you guys gotta look out for the Lions now. The Lions are nipping at the heels of the Seahawks, Giants, and Commies for that last playoff spot. And with their remaining schedule the Lions legitimately could end things at 10-7. With the way they've been playing, almost winning that game against the Bills, the Lions could spoil things for any of those teams.

It's scary weird how similar our teams are. We both have surprisingly dynamic offenses with a QB no one took/takes seriously, and an atrocious defense that will let literal practice squad guys drop 8 yards on us in quick succession. We even have similar weaknesses on that side of the ball (though we're doing better at CB and they're doing better at MLB). The main difference is their passing game is getting stronger, while our running game is getting weaker (I would give a king's ransom to be a fly on the wall in the gym for our RB's strength and conditioning sessions).

I actually really like the Lions this year and if they were the team to sneak ahead of us for a WC spot I wouldn't complain.

It took time, but Campbell is proving all the analytics guys wrong, at least right now. His team doesn't have a lot of talent, but those guys love playing for him. He's getting the most out of the guys and it's finally paying off. They never lost hope in him.

I have a small bet on Ekeler to score a TD (doesn't matter how he does it) and he was only about half a foot short of taking it to the house on that long pass on 2nd and goal. :'(

Edit: fuck it, he ran it on the next play. Thanks for buying me lunch, Mr. Ekeler. Thanks for having the balls to run it on 4th down.

People underestimate just how much of a difference this makes.

Half the Bucs defense doesn't even seem like they want to be there. CBs passing off to safety like "yeah he's behind me somewhere probably."

If anyone deserves success, it's Detroit. I'm not even mad about that missed call by the refs yesterday when they called JJ out of bounds when he wasn't. Usually those calls go against the Lions and screw them out of a win.

When it comes to the last Wildcard seed, they could still get it. I'd love to see them get it and Washington go home just because Ron Rievera's a dillwad.

Just came here to post this and remind you
what you are all simping for.

So Murray's likely out with a torn ACL after last night's game.

Even if he's healthy, do you think this Cardinals season has been enough of a disaster for Bidwell to finally fire Kingsbury/Keim?
I don't think either of them get fired because of the extensions which were given to them. Though if this happens again next year, then I can see them getting the boot.

On the brightside, Kyler now has the entire offseason to play video games and continue to not study

Cole Beasley is coming out of retirement to rejoin the Bills.

Beasly is like that one girl you've dated who could never make up her mind, but then got mad at you for making suggestions.

"Honey, who do you want to play for?"

"I don't want to play for the Bills, because they'll make me get vaccinated."

"All right. How about Tampa? They look fun."

"Ok."

(Seconds before for Tampa) "Ehh, I dont want to play for them anymore. I want to retire."

"What?!"

*Months later*

"Ok, I wanna play for Buffalo."

"Woman, I don't care about you anymore, I got a new receiver with a tight end like Nikki Minaj."
