The dudes on this Raiders team would run through a brick wall for Antonio Pierce. I hope he gets the HC job permanently.
I missed out on yesterday's game, but I did look at the highlights and Pierce is a fierce coach. I can see why the Raiders hired him as lineback coach

They had another interim coach who got a lot out of the Raiders team. Didn't hire him. Wonder if they will make that mistake again.

Damn, was watching the 49ers vs Ravens first half at my family christmas party and it was a really good game, despite Purdy playing like the last pick of the draft. Drove home and turned on the game in the 3rd quarter and it was over. Wtf was that San Fran?

You’d think that the 49ers were resting up for playoffs, and were just playing their backups - but no, they just collapsed.

San Fran has all the tools to make it to the Superbowl, but their biggest obstacle is themselves. Still better off than the Chiefs, but that’s not hard with how that team basically runs through Kelce…

I wonder if this will lead to a divide on how NFL teams hire a HC. Either go with the modern, young, soyjak type (Mike McDaniel) or the meat head, chad, leader of men type (Dan Campbell).

What was shocking to me was seeing that they didn't have a way through the Ravens defense once the quick screens fell apart. The running game was fine but every quick screen got blown up instantly and San Fran kept trying to run the screen. Can they not get separation downfield or protect Purdy enough to get the ball downfield?

Holy shit this Raiders defense is something else. This is classic football. This is that old school shit I grew up with. This is just pure aggression and I love it. They made the Chiefs look like a whole different football team out there. Imagine what can happen if they get a half decent QB, when they’ve got that receiving room and that running back corps backed up with THAT defense.

To the Football Gods - thank you for letting the Raiders not only win, but win over the Chiefs, on Christmas of all days.

They’re still not Good, but as long as the Chiefs lose I’m happy.
Thank you, as a Chargers fan. I don't like the Raiders, but I cannot stand the slobbering the Chiefs get, as well as how arrogant their fanbase is. I don't rembember the Broncos or Raiders fanbases being as arrogant as the Chiefs fans have been.

Not sure if this is an omen of how dominant the NFL is or how shitty the NBA is but damn. I don't think this means Goodell is a good commissioner but he is definitely the least shit one for all american sports. If the NFL doesn't eat itself with the complaints, they might just become the only sport people care about with everyone fighting for a distant second place

They win two rings with Mahomes and think they're the most dominant dynasty ever.
At least Pats fans earned it considering it took 20 years to get rid of the stink of the 80s and 90s.

What makes that funnier is that during the Raiders-Chiefs game, commentary was making a point of how whenever Kelce isn’t the leading receiver for the Chiefs, their win percentage drastically goes down.

Meaning that if Kelce ever gets hurt or decides to retire, this “dynasty” is practically dead in the water. Mahomes is talented, I won’t deny that, but that stat beings to mind the image of a Lambo in a Trailer Park…

In hindsight the Chiefs winning the SB last year was the worst thing to happen to them. They took all the wrong lessons from it, they thought they could get by again with a mediocre receiving core cause Mahomes but it came back to bite them this year.

Bit of a point that was brought up on McAfee - is it possible Mahomes is just starting to regress? It’d be especially gunny if this was when he started to fall off, considering how big of an albatross his contact would be in that case.

Granted the Chiefs have more problems, considering their only real offensive weapon is Kelce, but I’m not going to feel bad for the Chiefs anytime soon.

This can happen with any team, especially the mundane ones
Except you have teams like the Rams who put themselves in a shit position in the future just to win A super bowl. Teams will spend years trying to build a squad that can potentially win one and they may never end up doing it. So winning one is not the worst thing that can happen.

Personally I would argue that having a super bowl caliber team and then deciding to send your first 2 round picks, a 6th round pick, 2 average LBs, a CB, a DE, and a RB that doesn't want to play for the trade partner but attach conditions to those players by compensating that team with draft capital that's all in the first 3 rounds of the next 2 years. (Its the Herschel Walker trade, I am talking about the Herschel Walker trade. That's literally the worst thing that can happen to a franchise)

Good news Broncos Fans, the Ride might have finally stopped - they’re benching Russ. It admittedly looks to be for Financial Reasons, but honestly without that little mid-season Streak the Broncos went on I feel like this would’ve happened a few weeks ago.

So, anyone thinking the Broncos are going to try and move on?

Chiefs knew they had a problem well before the trade deadline. They moved money around to make cap space for a veteran WR, but were unable to make a deal on anyone.

They're definitely thinking about it.

Essentially the $37 million becomes guaranteed if he can't pass a physical on March 17th (due to injury) or if he's still on the roster on March 17th. There's no reason to do this unless they're very seriously considering cutting him before March.
