Some notable quarterback news:

  • Russell Wilson is apparently nearing a one-year deal with the Steelers
  • Baker Mayfield re-signed with the Bucs for three years for $100 million (half of it being guaranteed money)
  • New England is reportedly set to trade Mac Jones to Jacksonville on Wednesday

On the defensive side of things, the Chiefs re-signed Chris Jones to a five-year deal with $95 million in guaranteed money. Meanwhile Fletcher Cox has announced that he's following teammate Jason Kelce and retiring after spending a dozen seasons in the NFL, all with Philadelphia. Kelce and Cox rank second and third respectively for games played as an Eagle.
Russ twitter post is here (the music is grating)
local backup below
I wonder if this more or less locks in Justin Fields to Atlanta
NVM about the local backup because 100% means the file is perpetually still not uploaded sometimes

Broncos this month:
  • ate $85 million in dead money
  • Released Justin Simmons
  • Traded Jerry Judy for 5th and 6th to the Browns
  • Did not resign Jonathan Harris
Last one doesn't sound important, but with Harris gone the Broncos are down to 4 DTs; a 30 year old and 3 guys they picked up off other teams practice squads.

This is like wining a second super bowl.

The Steelers signed Russ?

Knowing the dark magic that Tomlin seems to work to be able to drag the practice squads the Steelers have fielded to winning records, I’m going to laugh hysterically if Russ magically returns to form and they somehow win the Super Bowl this year.

Mostly because it’d be free content from malding Bronco’s fans.

The Bronco’s are in a special kind of Cap Hell - should’ve waited on giving Russ that bigass extension - where the only real move they have might be to blow it all up.

That's a 6th round pick more than I thought the Pats would get for Mac Jones.

Well, at least he'll have plenty of time to study for his realtor's license while he's on the bench and Trevor plays QB.

Yinzers are going to demand their entire offensive line be fired sometime around week 5.
That line was already a bit of a question mark, he's going to make them look so bad

Also Schlasser lost a lot of weight, good for him.

Little nervous about the Baker contract cause Baker is consistently inconsistent from year to year and last year was good Baker so let's see.

Free Agency period has begun and boy do we have some moves! Been a good start so far, but still waiting on some major names to get picked up. So far, the most notable signings have been:

  • Tony Pollard signed with the Titans, 3 years/$24mil
  • Former Texan EDGE Jonathan Greenard has signed with the Vikings on a 4 year/$76mil deal
  • Dion Dawkins and the Bills have agreed to a 3 year/$60.5mil extension
  • Michael Pittman Jr signed a 3 year deal worth up to $71.5mil with the Colts
  • DeAndre Swift has joined the Bears for 3 years/$24mil
  • Eagles have locked up Landon Dickerson to a 4 year/$84mil extension to keep their OL intact
Lotta rumors going around as well. Been reading that the Eagles are looking to go after Saquon Barkley after losing Swift to Chicago. That would be a great pickup. The Packers also released longtime LT David Bakhtiari. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets courted by his old buddy Aaron to go play in NY.

Don't let this distract you from the fact Jaylon Johnson resigned and used his press conference to tell everyone he was addicted to fucking last season.

I totally forgot about that. Dude was just so focused on smacking cheeks that he had 5 straight games with an INT last season. Let the dude fuck as much as he wants if he's gonna play like that.

Just let the man retire, his left knee is made out of duct tape and spit at this point.
