I have no idea what the fuck the Jets organization is doing at this point. it puts what the Bucs, rams, and even the Broncos were able to do with similar moves into a new perspective. Rodgers is not the sole problem, but he isn't at the age where he can improve things through his play. Woody Johnson has no fucking clue what to do with his team.

Odd, the guy who got Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Braelon Allen? I don't think he was the problem...
That draft was a total anomaly. Pretty sure there isn't anyone he picked in 2022 still with the team
I think that the pacing of this is an obvious case of Woody being an idiot, but Joe absolutely deserved to be fired alongside Saleh back when that happened.

I think it's funny that someone went out of their way to track if this was true.

It’s kind of interesting how in the present day NFL, the Dallas Cowboys are currently a much better (though, mediocre) version of the NY Jets.

In fairness, it's not really a hard thing to track considering the NHL and NBA have 41 regular season home games, and MLB teams have 81. Then also factor how the average game in those leagues have way less of a negative consequence and lower stakes to them if they lose.

What I'm saying is that the Cowboys suck, but also that factoid is gilding the lily.

Guy calling in to Dan Patrick this morning called them the Dall-ASS Cowboys. Had the whole booth giggling like little kids. How have I never heard this one before?

Joe Douglas isn't blameless in this (his 2020 and '21 drafts were terrible and they kept Zach Wilson long after his expiration date) but Woody Johnson is Jerry Reinsdorf-level bad of owner.

Douglas' hiring was odd to begin with because the Jets let the previous guy, Mike Maccagnan, hire a coach, run the draft and free agency, and then shitcanned him in May and hired Douglas in June. The job was radioactive from the beginning.

Then Robert Saleh gets fired by Woody Johnson personally with no consultation of the front office whatsoever, Woody pushes through a trade for Devante Adams, and it's now coming out that ownership wanted to bench Aaron Rodgers after Week 4 and basically had to be talked out of it by the coaching staff because they didn't want the locker room to disintegrate in October. This almost seems like a mercy firing.

This is how you end up missing the playoffs 13-14 straight years with no fucking hope in sight.

I've only been intently following football for a couple years (more of a baseball guy) so I have never seen the Cowboys this bad outside of the playoffs. Normally this is kind of what I would be hoping for since we have been mid for like a decade, so maybe we can finally start a rebuild or something because obviously what we are doing isn't working. However, I would feel a lot better about us sucking this bad if we didn't just give Sack Pickscott and ungodly amount of money. I dream about a time where we let him walk, more or less burn it all down, and start rebuilding because now we are in a jam that we either HAVE to bounce back from (first round exit next year) or suffer for 4 years. I also despise McCarthy and have since day one so hopefully he can get the boot as a silver lining to this whole shit show.

All that being said, it's still our year this year fr fr.

Chiefs game ending with a Mahomes INT made me jizz

Woody Johnson has picked Joe Douglas as the next scapegoat for the Jets defense falling apart and their retirement age QB, coming fresh off of an achilles tear, calling his particular favorite plays (because the OC is just some guy who makes him laugh while they watch film) and not being on the same page with any of his targets failing to win games.
There is an article in the Athletic that I hear is scathing. Johnson wanted Rodgers benched after the 4th game.

The Jets were clearly a well run organization and it was Aaron Rodgers who ruined them

Just here to say this:

Giants fans won the Bye Week.

Daniel Jones got demoted to 4th string, and it feels good man. I don't care if the Giants still lose the rest of their games this year-- Jones ate away at my soul as a fan of football over the past 6 seasons, and I'm glad to be done with him.

I hear that the Cowboys are looking for a new quarterback ... Nah, not even Jerry Jones is that stupid, lol. Daniel Jones will be incredibly lucky if any team picks him up as a 2nd string QB. What team in their right mind would want him to start for them? Honestly. He's that bad of a QB.

I pray every day that Jerr puts Dakotah on the trade block and goes the Sanders route. The clashing of those three egos would flatten Jerryworld like Hiroshima.
