My husband is both ecstatic and in disbelief over tonight's game. He was not AT ALL expecting a Redskins victory tonight.

I do feel bad for Lions fans though. The team just had their best season in franchise history, and then they fuck it up like this in the playoffs. Brutal. lol. I cannot believe how many mistakes were made, after how stellar the team had played all season long. I really believed they were going to go all the way this year.

That said, I'm not dismissing the Redskins at all. The offense remained clutch AF, and the defense did some great work making sure those turnovers happened. The Lions gave them so many opportunities to score, and they did it. No squandered opportunities whatsoever, and that's what good teams do.
I honestly think it was Glenn being more concerned with interviews. The offense wasn’t bad, the Defense is dinged up, but Glenn did not have a counter. Daniels never got sacked. Goff got hit dirty and our defense did nothing.

I don’t blame Goff for some of the turnovers.

Sustained contact with current Lions bandwaggoning "fans" will flip this opinion to "fuck them" if you want that displeasure

Inshallah Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn will take well deserved HC jobs somewhere else and leave the Lions in a playcalling rut.
Now that all post-season hopes are dead, I can admit that the meme of Glenn cooking the Packers without needing to see was really funny because it was true.

I think Campbell and Holmes have a good eye for talent and godwilling they’ll find good play callers.

Can you imagine in a 10 point game in the 4th quarter putting the ball in your wide receiver's hands... to pass it? On the dumbest trick play in history that was flagged anyway because you had an illegal receiver downfield?

I don't even feel bad for them now. That is the most Dan Campbell move I have ever seen. Ben Johnson must want to interview sooner.

I was going to say he should have learned after the NFC Championship game last year, but the moron should have learned after the Dallas game a few weeks before that. Campbell got a huge pass because all people cried about after the game was about the poor wittle Lions getting screwed by the refs. But our idiot coaches had handed that game to them on a silver platter. All they had to do was run a normal fucking play, but Campbell and Johnson had to be AGGRESSIVE. Damn shame, because this Lions team is incredibly talented. But their coaches clearly have a problem with getting cute at the worst possible time.

I think the aggression is fine, it’s the playing from behind when you know your defense can’t help is what killed them. They had to play aggressive, but only because of a few dumb plays.

They should’ve kept running though. Monty got like 5 yards almost every fucking play. Gibbs consistently got firsts.

Sports journos said average ticket price for last night's game was $800 but not there so can't confirm. Lotta people there look like it's a stretch for them and went YOLO on it to see history being made and they certainly did. Think of the brutal neighborhood watch parties, the bad bets with bad people and NFL approved betting apps. Looked like a lock from all directions.

Goff got punked pretty hard but Lions have played dirty all season and taken lots of penalties and had lots not called on them. IDK what he was thinking playing safety in front of a freight train but solid 10/10 Charlie Brown moment. Meanwhile Mahomo is taking dives and rag dolling with his arms up in the air like it's the FA cup.

I have survived much laughter at my Commies actually pulling off a Win against the Lions. Pray for me should we actually make the Superbowl, cause if it comes down to Washington to stop the 3-peat, AND they do it, I’mma need a wellness check sent my way. Possibly one sent to Dan Snyder, seeing the team he was forced to sell not even 2 years ago win the big one, but fuck him.

The entire NFC playoffs feels like it’s been “this is NOT the team that should’ve won”. The AFC at least has been somewhat predictable.

I should have known something was up when I went back to the game and the score had changed from 17-14 Commanders to 24-14 Commanders. I told myself it was still the first half. Oh well, now I can just focus on my team.

As a Patriots fan I can't think of anything more unpleasant in NFL terms than having to sit through another Bills-Chiefs AFC championship game. Which I'm guessing is what is gonna happen. The Ravens are just too all over the place, Josh Allen seems to rise to a different tier on games in Orchard Park, etc. Ah, well, at least it isn't the Jets. And I suppose anybody but the Cheats, err, Chiefs at this point.

Edit: The top comment. Oof.
