That's going to look amazing when they get blown out by the Jets and Steelers in back to back weeks on the road in December
They made a black jersey to absorb as much of the sun's energy as possible to warm up their players late in the season
Forgetting, in true Miami fashion, that places that get cold also get pretty cloudy

Jokes aside, I am sick and tired of black for black's sake jerseys. Jets, Cardinals, the Commanders one looks like a Steelers alternate, etc.
There are three teams in the league who should be rocking black, and they're all in the AFC North.

I appreciate some of the alternate jersey's that don't go black and feel like they fit. They should be a weird color that can fit the team but should never be a main stay

It's time again for my annual ranking of new NFL uniforms. I had heard about Nike's new rivalry uniforms and wanted to wait for it to come out before I did my final ranking. I hate modern uniform announcements, it feels like a inhuman marketing executive is talking to me and I find it creepy. Jerseys do not need to tell "stories", they are something cool players wear to represent their team, city, etc. I don't need a books worth of text to see why a color was chosen, or why this text was added to the collar. Just keep it simple and pleasing to the eyes. But these people at Nike fail to do both. The NFL is doing these "rivalry" jerseys for some reason (I know its mostly for sales, but they find a better way to do that). Every team is going to get one and most will be ugly like the awful color rush jerseys they implemented about a decade ago. The best new uniforms that fans gravitate to are the actual throwbacks that those teams wore. Look at the Broncos, Giants, Seahawks, Eagles, Patriots, Falcons, etc. You'll notice that those throwbacks are more popular than the new jersey announcements and in some cases, more popular than the team's current set.

A lot of teams like to throw black on their jersey when it is not a color in their uniform and call it a day. This feels like that here. The Dolphins typically wear white at home because it's hot in Florida and wearing white it cooler than wearing a color. So now the Dolphins are wearing a a back jersey in a late September game, getting rid of the slight advantage they had at home. This doesn't feel like any thought was put into it when designing it.

I wouldn't hate a yellow jersey it if was paired with a different set of pants. For some reason, a lot of teams have become obsessed with wearing one color throughout the jersey, and its ugly. At minimum, you need a different pants color to break up the uniform otherwise you get this ugly mess. This looks like an early color rush jersey that wasn't discarded 10 years ago.

The Jets already have one unnecessary black jersey, why not have two! This looks black and white, almost like a prisoner uniform. Its bland and derivative to something they already have.

This looks like it is covered in shit. They are trying to make it look like sand in a desert but failed. Plus the Cardinals play indoors, the weather isn't apart of their "identity"

Saints-Gold-jersey1.webp

The Saints wear some of the worst uniforms in the league, and this isn't helping. They already wore this jersey once in 2002 and it must not have been popular because they never wore it again until now. The colors can work, the implementation is off.

The Browns have brought back this alt with a new helmet and it looks worse now. I wasn't a huge fan of the previous alt, but it looked better with the orange helmet than this brown one. One color looks are ugly, especially when they look shit colored.

Generic black alt. The 49ers already did this for their color rush and it was unpopular then, so why do it again? The numbers look nice though.

Another generic black alt. At least the Rams colors go with black better than the Dolphins.

Another boring, all-white jersey. This looks just like the Vikings lame all white jersey. It would be amusing if they could wear this during an actual blizzard but they are playing in early October to it's not going to happen.

This is a throwback to their Navy alts from the 90s and 2000s. They of course had to ruin it by making it a one color jersey instead of using it as a throwback. They wanted to keep it in the style of the color rush they have been using for almost a decade and ruin a good throwback.

It's a nice throwback to their first season like the Bumblebee uniforms. I don't understand why they are doing it now though. The Giants brought out their throwback jersey (which got way too much hate) for their 100th season. The Steelers were the worst NFL team in the pre-merger era by a wide margin. I don't know why they would want to have throwbacks to that era, I wouldn't. They brought out this throwback during the NFL's 75th season (1994) were teams would wear throwbacks to their early days to celebrate the leagues history. Teams like the Steelers and Bears went all in and tried to recreate their first jersey, warts and all. Fans overreact to these throwbacks instead of enjoying them for what they are.

The first rivalry one that isn't lazy, ugly, or both. It helps that it is it mainly their AFL home look with a different color scheme. The fog theme is retarded but colors aren't ugly. Breaking up the jersey and adding more than one color almost always looks better than one color throughout. The stars are a nice touch too.

This is the best rivalry uniform so far. It doesn't feel lazy or thoughtless. It's different than the awful Seahawks home uniform but the colors come together nicely and look like a real NFL jersey. I don't like the stretch marks on the shoulders and the pants could always use a stripe, but it still comes together nicely.

The Redskins name and identity resonates more with fans. They should stop being pussies and go back to that look, sponsors be damned. They already rebranded to look more like the Redskins and they now have this throwback. The only thing missing is their old logo, and this would be another great throwback. Its a great look that bring back great memories of the Joe Gibbs era. They should go back to wearing white at home as well.

Bucs now have both throwbacks from their inaugural season. I remember that the creamsicles used to get a lot of hate like 15-20 years ago. Now everyone seems to love them now and wish they would come back full time. I always liked them but never loved them as people do now. Their home throwback is a better look but this one is nice too. They are going to wear this against the Seahawks who are also wearing their throwback in that game which will be nice since both teams came into the league in 1976.

I love these kinds of throwbacks, back to the early days of the NFL. The Packers have already worn similar throwbacks to these in the 2010s but the fake leather helmet is what sells it for me. I hope more teams can experiment with the helmet like the Packers and Giants to try to recreate the older leather helmets worn back then. Now if only the players would play with long sleeves but that is never going to happen. I like these throwbacks because it is fun to look back at what NFL teams used to wear compared to now. Plus it pays respects to the early days of the NFL which people are typically dismissive of even though they shouldn't be.

The Bills already have one of the best uniforms in the NFL, so adding the red helmet is the cherry on top. Teams try to do drastic rebrands which almost always fail, smaller changes like this are more appreciated as they are improving on what is already working instead of tearing something down and replacing it with crap. They are wearing this for their last home game which will be nice to close out their home before its demolished.

This. Packers throwbacks are awesome for a game or two during the season and that's exactly what the alternative jersey's should be

Something about grey kits makes it look like it should be in the XFL, USFL, AAF or some other alt-league.

Minnesota reacquired Adam Thielen
What the actual fuck is this WR room in Minnesota? Half of their own fan base is still convinced that McCarthy can only hand the ball off and throw slants.
So the solution is to try to juice the WR room to its absolute limit? I get that Addison is suspended for three games, but still.
If JJ sucks enough to get benched, we are gonna see a possible new "washed king" come in the form of Wentz. Absolute insanity.

I get that the Panther's want a very young WR room to build on, but it forces Bryce to play hero ball if none of these WRs take the jump you expect.
It could be a set-back in his development, but I think the package they received for Theilen was good.

OH NO NO NO JERRUH WHAT IS YOU DOIN'?
My man played hardball and lost, bad.

The marks are supposedly supposed to represent sound waves, because we're loud.
Management would really like you to not notice how ever since we entered wildcard mediocrity while ticket prices skyrocketed the crowd looks as much like an away game as it does a home game and the 12s certainly aren't loud enough anymore to be a problem for visiting teams.

My father just came in and raged at me for a solid 10 minutes.
The deal that I have heard is that it is:
Kenny Clark and Two First-round picks for Micah Parsons.

Heartbreaking for a lot of Dallas fans; the writing on the wall makes me think that a full rebuild might be on its way.
I'd expect CeeDee Lamb to be traded in the next 2 or 3 years, but you never know with how the draft picks work.
We might see a 2014 cowboys roster happen again, or it might be a 2016. Or a mix.

I hope Jerry lives for 1000 years.

It always annoys me when I see complaints about these jerseys like the team is going to switch to them full time. Its a once or twice a year jersey because paying respects to the past for teams like the Packers and Giants is cool.
The marks are supposedly supposed to represent sound waves, because we're loud.
They failed miserably. I shouldn't have to go on a scavenger hunt to find that out. I thought it might be something related to birds because it reminded of some Oregon Ducks jerseys.

I don't know if Jerruh wants a rebuild, he's so damn old he might not live to see a rebuilt roster.

I think this is more him balking at Micah wanting $47m (which is insane) along with being personally pissed off by Micah's agent.

As a Packers fan, I'm enjoying this.

But giving up Kenny AND TWO first rounders.... Holy Christ why.

Micah please deliver us the Lombardi
I'm not particularly upset over it. Draft picks see overvalued to high heaven, so giving up two shots at pick 20-32 for the potential to draft a good player is a no-brainer. Losing Kenny Clark is more upsetting, but he was drafted when we ran a 34. We run a 43 now, and while he's not "old", he's been in the league for 9 years so he's definitely got a lot of miles on him. Plus he didn't have any more guaranteed money on his contract, so he was definitely not in the long term plans for Green Bay.
