The Black guy actually isn’t terrible and is in the deep hole of realizing that the Cowboys have no chance. The others are annoying, I’ve watched their group podcast and it’s basically Tree and the black guy actually engaging on analysis. The Denver midget and Gooner giants fan add nothing. Grossi seems nice enough.
The Denver dude isn't good at football analysis, but it was really funny watching him come to pretty much the exact same conclusion re: Russell Wilson after two years of having him as QB that Seahawks fans warned him about when the trade happened:
-The wholesome Christian man persona masks a cutthroat competitive ego Wilson himself is ashamed of, but still listens to
-He uses his old style of play like a safety blanket and has a hard time evolving beyond it
-He cares a lot about his individual stats, even by NFL player standards, often to the detriment of team success

My favorite part is that it immediately went to shit as soon as they "Let Russ cook". Now whether that's due to age, team change, injury, or whatever, who knows. Doesn't change the fact that borderline mediocrity has been his peak since his last year or so in Seattle.

The funny thing about "Let Russ Cook" is that it was pining for the first half of the prior season, where Wilson was an early MVP candidate. But Pete switched to run-heavy playcalling halfway through the season after a bad game against the Bills (I think), citing Russ' turnovers as his reason for playing more conservatively. He had a point - Wilson pointed his highest interception rate while in his prime that season. So amid all the drama Wilson's orchestrating through proxies in the media/locker room, Pete capitulates and goes back to his more aggressive passing game in 2021.

The result? Wilson looks pretty much the same as in 2020, but the team overall suffers, Wilson injures himself, and everyone limps along to a 7-10 while morale is super low.

It took another season and a coaching staff 100% catering to his interests for the concerns Pete had in keeping Russ' playbook open to really manifest itself, but Pete absolutely got the last word on the meme.

That Denver faggot is clearly still butthurt about 55-10.

Pretty sure we have been there for a while now
I'm gonna wonder what Brian Flores and Mike McDaniel's inner thoughts are about Tua as a whole.

Flores got quickly axxed, in part, due to how little he thought of Tua. I know that entire saga was its own shit show, but you can't argue that he rightly knew Tua was not the horse you hitch your buggy to.

Whereas McDaniel was hired almost explicitly because he accepted the challenge. The poor mulatto was so close to stopping Tua from becoming a bust, but that effort was ultimately fruitless. Sure, you can argue (it's not even an argument TBH, just plain truth) that McDaniel mishandled the team's culture and locker room atmosphere, but this is one of those situations where it wouldn't be an issue if the team was winning. Hard to win when your QB can only manage to be successful when the HC is scheming up Jewish tricks for him, but absolutely panics the moment anything goes off script. As well as getting concussed when he plays on a say that ends with Y.

IMO it'll be super interesting to see what happens with McDaniel after he gets fired. If he goes the Adam Gase, Eric Mangini, or Chip Kelly route of immediately taking another HC job (if offered), or he chills as an OC for a few years. If he does the former, I expect absolutely disaster due to the lack of time to decompress and figure out WTF all went wrong. Along with the who/what/when/where/why/how it went wrong.

However, if he does the latter, I legitimately think he could eventually become a good head coach at some point. Like sitting under another "player's coach" like Andy Reid to figure out how he successfully manages the organization the way he does. Or, God forbid, someone like Dan Campbell. I'd love to see how that relationship plays out. I can't even imagine, lol. Or, sitting under a guy who's a good coach, but still a hardass. Or, someone like Belichick (if he was still in the league) or even Mike Tomlin.

The funny thing is, Tua seemed to click with McDaniel’s Offensive Trickery - it’s just that the more his brain has resembled AB’s, the nore McDaniel has had to dumb down the playcalling, and McDaniel strikes me as someone who’d rather do complicated tricks over simple and effective.

This is of course made worse by Tua changing his last name to Turntheballova if he tries to throw past the line of scrimmage. You can count on him for at least 1 heartbreaking turnover per game, and I’m half wondering just why they haven’t benched him and committed to Tanking in the March for Arch

Tomlin would probably be a bad fit, solely because I swear Steelers OC’s are just there to be the fall guy for Tomlin. Lord knows that team is his show, so long as his pointless streak is in tact.

Andy Reid would be a good option, but that means the Chiefs get something nice, and fuck ‘em. Granted it’d be funny if Tyreek also went to the Chiefs and crashed out about McDaniel following him…

Dan Campbell would be the funniest option, solely because I can see it working beautifully - McDaniel’s offence is mostly timing based and requires a lot of locker room discipline, and Dan apparently has that locker room ready to die for him, considering what they managed to do with how beat to shit they were last year.

Of course the boring option is just him slinking back to Shanahan.

I just like the idea of Dan Campbell force-feeding him coffee and nicotine.

…I now have this mental image of Campbell just force feeding McDaniel a meatloaf.

But yeah, the Campbell-McDaniel connection would probably just be the latter being force fed a diet of Caffeine, Nicotine, and Protein Powder while cooking up stupid offensive schemes.

Age, lost his wheels, more teams switched to cover 2

Everyone was copying the Patriots defensive scheme for a while where it was cover 1 or cover 3 with CB2+S bracketing the WR1 and CB1 on WR2. Scramble around and moonball is the perfect counter to it since your WR2 can work his way open eventually.

Cover 2 doesn't allow for this. You need to be able to hit intermediate passes underneath the two deep safeties consistently. A lot of the mobile cannon arm QBs are struggling while Goff is eating because he can do that (assuming he's not pressured.)

I think it's more likely someone like Raheem Morris signs him after he gets fired, they have history and the Falcons offense isn't looking too hot this season.

I do think after reading a book about Kyle Shanahan that McDaniel isn't going to be going back to San Francisco.

In defense of Tua, Flores seemed to have issues with a lot of players on the team. There is a big difference in knowing that a player may not be the right fit versus just hating a guy for irrational reasons. While he probably did experience some conflict within the organization that wasn't fully his own fault, the fact that Flores immediately went out and got himself embroiled in a discrimination lawsuit with the league tells me he might be too belligerent of a personality despite obviously being a talented coordinator.

Part of the issue with McDaniel is that I feel he was only targeted as a coaching candidate because of his association with Shanahan. After Shanahan, McVay and LaFleur all established themselves as successful head coaches, suddenly it felt like every team wanted somebody from that clique because they were suddenly viewed as the can't miss next generation of top NFL coaches. The fact that Raheem Morris received a second NFL head coaching gig after previously being considered a head coaching bust proves that point.

I just appreciate when they all get him on whenever something laughably bad happens to the Cowboys.
Everyone loves picking on them and Jerry. If your franchise ever suffered you get used to it. The issue is that Jerry will never die because of that deal with the devil (for the triple crown, he fired Jimmy for that reason) and thus the organization will never truly recover.

Penix looks awful enough that Cousins might have to work rather than bench warm for that $180 million. The entire Penix-Cousins situation is retarded. Unless Penix actually develops, they might be better off trading him and taking the dead cap hit. He’s a young player, but how the organization is casts severe doubt that they will develop him.

To put it more simply:
>black qb
>black hc
>black gm

This black gm

I wouldn’t trust this man to draft in fantasy.

It just seems like Tua's noggin isn't right. He can't read or do anything in time at game speed. No NFL approved commentator, podcaster or sports media personality can say it or admit to but he's a head injury case.

Will go down as a shitty quarterback and take McDaniel and maybe a few others with him just to not break that golden rule. "No one gets lasting brain injuries in the NFL anymore!". Even though Hill is a dick you have to feel bad for a top player in the game who knows exactly whats up and is never going to get the wins, will have his stats crippled and has to keep his mouth shut.

Oh absolutely, but it certainly doesn't help to start of on a good foot when you're saddled with a QB you don't want and/or believe in. (Yeah yeah, I know it was Flores's 2nd season, but I digress.) Now should have Flores considered that he had no choice and made the best of it? Yeah, absolutely, but if he hated Tua that much as a prospect he should have kicked and screamed a bit louder during the draft. Would that have changed anything? Who knows. Dolphins ownership and GM are retarded, but the only way to know is to create a time machine and go back to the 2020 season. (In retrospect of writing that, I'd personally be doing something else besides watching the Dolphins shit show, but YMYM.)

I'm not absolving Flores, or even Tua, for that shitshow, but I imagine it's like being a Head Chef and you're provided ingredients from Walmart when you explicitly told the Executive Chef and owner you do not want ingredients from Walmart. Target, fine, but not Walmart.

Tl;dr: That entire situation, and it's associated intra-relationships, were bad. There was never any hope for it not to be bad.

I've been saying that to relatives who are Cowboy's fans for years! Jerry is just so... Jerry. I get his stated goal is to stir up drama and be entertaining, but he's not entertaining for the reasons he intends. It's great! Personally, I think it hella bothers him too, but he also loves it because it's still inherently entertaining. Nothing quite as funny as watching a senile retard talk about how he could still trade the less-than-expected bounty he received in exchange for a phenom, for another phenom. During week 4. After his defense gave up 450 yards to Russell Wilson, and made Caleb Williams the NFC player of the week.
25 is still young! (The entire thing is fucking retarded. Especially with his surgeries.)
It really is. While I understand why ages in the NFL are bizarro world (unknown potential of a 21 year old whose never played a down vs. a known commodity, contracts, etc.), peak athleticism in men is typically mid/late 20s to early 30s. We've semi-regularly seen guys at the QB position who excelled with 3-5 years of slow development Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, Alex Smith, Tommy fucking Maddox if you remember, God forbid Jordan Love (even though he's currently falls into the Certified Nigger category until he works his way out it back into the honorary hwite man status. Come on you fucking mulatto!!! Channel your mother's hwite side into hwite power!!!)
