As an Eagles fan, this afternoon went as well as it could have. Birds won, Giants lost and the Cowboys and Washington are both 2 games behind us since Dallas won.
I don't appreciate what the Broncos did a few weeks ago to us, but that Giants ending was perfection.

Pulled from plebbit, but I thought it was particularly interesting. Titan's fans chanting for Vrabel

Has a situation like this happened before? The closest thing I can think of off the top of my head is Jerruh firing Tom Landry or Dean Spanos firing Marty Schottenheimer, though I'm not sure what the fan reaction was for either. I know Tom Landry is a legend and all that, but Dallas was garbo during the later years. With Marty, yeah he went 14-2 and was only fired because Dean Spanos is a massive fucking retard, but I can see where fans would fall back to his playoff history. (Plus it's the Chargers. They ain't got no fans in San Diego or LA.)

I can't help but appreciate the public display to embarrass Amy Adams Strunk. She's retarded, and more importantly, she's a woman. She's a retarded woman. One who hates being embarrassed. I remember the immediate media reaction of the Vrabel firing being "wait what? It kinda makes sense, but not really". The fans weren't particularly on board either, considering they traded their only offensive weapon not named Derrick Henry for draft picks. Now look at the Titans.

- They've fired two within the time span of firing Vrabel.

- They've fired the head coach that replaced Vrabel. One whose team looked kinda lost on the field.

- Their #1 draft pick at QB hasn't been particularly impressive. Regardless of the circumstances, unless Cam Ward just starts looking good before the season is over, there's going to be Bryce Young vibes. (As much as people want Bryce Young to succeed, the fact of the matter is he's still a bottom third QB. AKA garbo)

Whereas Vrabel went 'home', currently has the Patriots sitting at 5-2 (who've been garbo for the last few years, but especially last year), and has a 2nd year QB who is looking pretty fucking l legitimate. Then the dude has the home crowd in Tennessee chanting his name because everyone knows that firing Vrabel was a mistake that only a retarded woman would or could make??? That dumb broad is definitely tearing her hair out right now.

On the flip side, I'm super happy with generally with the 2nd half. The team kept grinding and grinding. The defense started to falter a bit, but still made some HUGE stops plus it's hard to stop the damn near perfect passes Jacoby Brissett was throwing. Can't forget #fucktherefs and #riggedNFL either. Whenever there's any question in their mind whatsoever, they're throwing the yellow laundry and I hate it.
The refs were making me lose my fucking cool. I'm, of course, glad the Packers stuck in there and won, but dear God, they should not be getting outplayed by the Cardinals with a backup QB and the third string running back. They absolutely got out-played in the first half.

Also a guy who was looking for a substitute teaching gig a few weeks ago now has the Packer's team record for the longest field goal. That's just silly.

As a Chargers fan, my dad and I hated that firing. Not only did they fire Schotty after a playoff appearance (in a game that we should have won if not for Marlon McRee fumbling the ball), but that season, the Chargers went 14-2.

That tracks. I was reading through the Wikipedia article and how Dean Spanos basically pulled a sike by announcing Marty was gonna return (for what was clearly a lame duck year), but then fired him a month-ish later. Apparently it was some combination of:

- A.J. Smith and Schottenheimer not getting along because Marty wouldn't suck the GM off. Can't blame him. A.J. Smith was a retard who thought he was alot smarter than he was.

- The OC and DC leaving for other jobs. Just lol on that one. What was Marty supposed to do? Say "No, you can't leave to go on and do bigger and better things, progressing your career, and making more money. You have to stay."

- Marty trying to hire his brother as DC.

It also doesn't help that Dean Spanos is a cheap fuck who willingly chose to cuck the the Chargers as LA's second team, when LA barely even supports the Rams in the first place. SRSLY. I can't wait for the Rams to be bad, and their home games either filled with the opposing team's fans or an absolute ghost town.

Who the fuck do the Niners have? CMC and back-ups? I am expecting a shoot out tonight.
Did u not watch the Rams game and learn your lesson about these kinds of predictions?
Also no fair that Shanahan keeps magicking decent linebackers from the ether, I want my team to have this skill

In other news. @DSP's Tax Lawyer, brother, are you ready? I know last week you were talking about how Green Bay is beginning our march to the Super Bowl and all that. I'm typically pretty pessimistic, but I think I'm buying in to the unbridled optimism you've bestowed upon me. Hell yeah!

@DSP's Tax Lawyer , well bud. Your optimism paid off. I know it wasn't the greatest offensive showing in the first half, but there were dirty, Jewish tricks played with Green Bay's flight to Arizona yesterday, so I can attribute a percentage of that poor effort to the delayed flight. I mean, who isn't miserable when they're sitting on the runway for 5 hours?
I hate you so much. I had to bet 3 different times on the Cardinals to win just so the Packers could come back in this game. Your trash talking is ruining my bank account

Ahh, I see! A little bit of that ol' reverse psychology with the football gods. I completely understand. I, too, know they don't want me to be happy, so the only time anything good happens means my focus must be somewhere other than a Green Bay W. TBH, I like the strategy! If betting against the Packers ensures a Packers victory, then it means we both must continue betting against the Packers so they Packers will continue to win. By God, it's genius!

First bet was when Arizona scored at the end of half. Then at the end of the third quarter. And then when the Cardinals were driving at the end. All because you decided to talk shit when we traded for Micah Parsons

Slight aside, but I’ve talked this over with my brother-in-laws and my actual brothers. Most of us think that the Chiefs are more or less a controlled face of the League. The Patriots were the face of the League, but more because the Pats were one of the best run organizations. I don’t think Goodell or anyone in the NFL liked them. After it was obvious that Tom Brady likely wasn’t going to stick around to play in his 50’s and Kaepernick/ BLM giving the NFL grief, they decided to get a Black QB to be the face of the League. The Chiefs are not a bad team, but the NFL is becoming WWE and not in a way where players play up personalities. Gruden and Flores lawsuits kind of prove this to me, but I think Flores kind of is a retard.

I wasn’t expecting them to lose, just that they are likely have to play aggressively on offense. Macaque Jones, CMC, and the offense are doing well. Their defense did well, but it worries me.

Still Shanahan deserves Coach of the Year if they manage to win NFC West.

Based on how well the Chiefs do this year, we will know how much control the NFL has over results
