CTE has been broadly used to excuse players being drug addicts/ drunks who behave like retards. Supposedly the bigger thing was the amount of coke players in the 70s through early 90’s snorted. CTE is still a problem and they did need to change protocols, but a lot of the black guys who had “bad CTE” were huge blow addicts.

That's the thing, what words have been heard from that locker room about McDaniel?
I think McDaniel can somehow get coach of the year if he can blame Tua. Flores hated Tua as well.

And McMahon was a drunken drug addict at BYU before he got to the league. Guarantee Antonio Brown was a massive pot and blow head in college to go with the regular concussions of playing the sport.

If you're the Dolphins, do you bother getting rid of McDaniel now that Grier is gone? An interim coach won't change anything, unless of course McDaniel has lost the locker room then it has to happen regardless. The Dolphins should get as much trade value from what they have, let McDaniel suffer through the rest of the season, secure a top 5 draft pick and start completely fresh.
He's already lost the locker room.

Grier needed to be fired but the timing doesn't make much sense to me. Ross should've just forced him to have a fire sale since the one thing he was pretty good at was trades. Now you've got a new guy coming up right against the trade deadline.

tbh I wonder if they should start shopping McDaniel around. I don't think he's an amazing Xs and Os genius but the league seems to think so. Someone might be interested in him at OC.

I know you can trade head coaches, but can you trade them to a different role like that? I've never heard of a HC moving to OC at a different team mid-season, they usually take the rest of the season off and get hired by a friend sometime in January.

It takes a lot of paperwork to do. Not to mention you have to value him as an OC in terms of compensation to different teams and make a market for him. Its way too tough to try in the middle of a season and nobody is going to do it in the off season because you are just going to fire him at some point

Yeah since coaches aren't truly traded in the sense that players are. It'd basically be Miami giving up contract rights in exchange for picks. He'd sign a new contract so they could put him wherever.

You are correct that it has never happened before, but...this might be a case where it actually happens.

Here's really cold but true take: The people in charge of thr NFL are retarded any successes it has is in spite ofmthem and done because of the efforst of lower placed people around the league aka like all other businesses

Reminder that Roger Goodell previous experience before he became commissioner was only to be a intern in the Jets organization, it's no surprise he can't run the league well

Jaire Alexander got traded to the Eagles, along with a 1027 7th rd pick for a 2026 6th rd pick

Ringo and Jackson are fucking terrible, so...yeah.

I doubt Jaire ever sees the field though. His knee is beyond cooked. They probably just want him as a mentor.
The Carter trade is bringing new life ot the "DeJean to the outside" rumors. Howie is throwing as many guys at the problem as he can without giving up much and hoping one of them works out.

Jones (white) goes 99 for a kick off return.

Packers offense playing down to their competition again. 14 point favorites and can't even put 14 on the board.
