BIG FUCKING NEWS EVERYONE!

DAN SNYDER MAY HAVE TO SELL THE RE-SKINS!

In other bigger news, the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles perform the block buster trade of the season, moving around eight draft picks. The Saints get two 2022 first-round picks (No. 16 and No. 19) and a 2022 sixth-round pick (No. 194) while the Eagles received a 2022 first-round pick (No. 18 ), a 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 second-round pick, plus 2022 third-round (No. 101) and seventh-round selections (No. 237). The Eagles will still pick twice in the first round in 2022 as they also have the No. 15 pick.

I don't get this move. It might make more sense once those draft picks come out but for now I am lost

Basically the Eagles gave a first and moved down 1 spot on another of their firsts this year in exchange for an additional first next year. Giving Roseman two first round picks in consecutive drafts.
That suggests he probably views this as a draft year with a smaller talent pool, so instead of going all-in with 3 picks this year he gets two picks each year, meaning he can afford to draft the best player available as well as Hurts' replacement should he not break out this season.

And the Saints get an extra first and move up a spot on their existing first this year.

For the Saints, this is them making it clear that they see themselves as contenders now, and will be looking for starters to plug in any gaps in their team in the first round. For the Eagles, this is a way to future proof themselves and give themselves an out in case Jalen Hurts just doesn't pan out, while also making it clear that they are in fact riding with Hurts this year to give him a chance to prove himself.

I know the Saints are serious contenders and have been missing a QB to be a real Super bowl favorite for a while now. Watson choosing money over a Super Bowl made sense but initially, I thought he was an idiot for not picking the Saints

New head coach, so it's back to playing football the way great-grandfather intended it.
It would be stupid to not use him in some interesting RPO's that read more than just 1 or 2 guys on the defense. Imagine being able to read a defensive lineman's movement to determine whether to hand the ball off or not and the guy you hand it off to then reads a different defensive lineman to whether he throws it or not. If there was any creativity with the offense for the Saints, Hill should be used dangerously. Otherwise you have a below average tight end

Amazing that the 'slave' is continuing this larp.

Kaepernick pitches NFL teams after exhibition: 'I can help you win'

Colin Kaepernick delivered a message to NFL teams following his throwing exhibition at Michigan's spring game Saturday.

The free-agent quarterback said he believes he still has what it takes to help any potential interested suitors and is willing to work his way up to a starting job.

"I can help make you a better team. I can help you win games," Kaepernick told Jeanna Trotman of WXYZ Detroit. "I know right now the situation likely won't allow me to come in (and) step into a starting role. I know I'll be able to work my way to that, though."

He added: "To the teams that have questions, more than anything I would say, 'I'd love to come in for a workout, I'd love to sit down with you and have that conversation about how I can help you be a better team.'"

Kaepernick has been out of football since 2016. He became the first NFL player to kneel during national anthems to protest police brutality and racial inequality in the United States.

Kaepernick explained that the goal of Saturday's throwing session was to show teams he can still play and throw the football effectively in the NFL.

The 34-year-old signal-caller embraced Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh following the throwing session. Harbaugh selected Kaepernick with his second pick as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers in 2011. The duo enjoyed early success by reaching the Super Bowl during the 2012 campaign, though the pair was defeated by the Baltimore Ravens.

"He's always been phenomenal for me. From the time we met at the combine, my pro day, to him drafting me and choosing to start me," Kaepernick said. "And from there, our relationship continues to grow and develop. Phenomenal person, phenomenal man, a lot of love for coach Harbaugh."

For some guys, money really is just the most important thing to them. I mean, I think Watson's going to get paid no matter where he goes; he's a hall of fame talent, and I think that will be enough to rise above the current controversy surrounding him, but maybe he wanted to secure his future. But I also believe he's messing around and costing himself his best chance at a ring.

Yeah he probably lost a ring but the amount of guaranteed money is really hard to turn down. Like his situation and what he currently might be doesn't necessarily contribute to a sense that he will get money down the road. This guaranteed money is going to end up changing every future QB negotiation out there way more than the Rodgers deal ever could

Yeah, well, that's me with pretty much everything having to do with the draft. All the arithmetic and wheelin'-and-dealin' is all too big-brained for me. I just wanna see the big men crash into each other.

There is some science and math to draft picks. Jimmy Johnson made the cowboys really good because he learned to value draft picks through a numbering system and was able to trade the picks to get higher value on his number board vs what others were thinking about the draft. Now every team has certain values on each draft pick and thats why you aren't going to see a Ditka trading his entire draft for a single player anymore. But I was listening to an interview today talking about how draft picks are now going to have a lesser value due to the fact that every team's cap space is going to be increasing by around 25 million a year. So basically an average Qb's salary increase on the salary cap is going to give more space for teams to sign FA's and not have to get players on rookie deals to try and win

I was thinking of fantasy football next year and who i would draft in each position, and I realized with all the shake ups to rosters, it's going to be interesting.

Like will Adams play as well in Oakland and Tyreek in Miami? Adams was a first rounder in fantasy leagues and Hill an early second rounder, but maybe Adams will not be as good in Oakland since Carr is no Rodgers and Hill will probably not be as good in Miami since Tua has kinda sucked so far. Will McCaffrey be a high pick? If he stays healthy, he's real good obviously, but he hasn't been able to the last 2 years and maybe Carolina will lessen his workload. Will Henry's foot injury hamper him this year? How will Najee Harris be without Ben?

Going to be an interesting draft. I hope I get a late first round pick the more I think about it lol
