Obviously this take is subject to aging horribly, but imo this was the best Seahawks draft since the early 2010's. Addressing big positions of need with high and mid picks, doing so at volume instead of one or two weird reaches, and we didn't fall into the trap of trying to grab a QB from the 2013 class part II.

Though I do think us spending the last two picks on wideouts suggests the front office isn't really confident in Eskridge, which only makes picking him over Creed Humphrey look even worse. Center is basically the only spot we haven't addressed yet that needs addressing. Pocic ain't it.

You can never have too many wideouts in my opinion. Chances are the last two picks won’t last on the roster but if they do, it’s a good return on the investment. They might be looking at the free agent market for center, or confident that Pocic can do the job.

I think your wideout pick in the 7th round is more of a special teams pick than an actual WR that will compete for targets.

The Packers have been doing this for a while now. They accumulate 7th round picks and use it on players that look like they would be UDFA's that teams would compete to sign, maybe depth picks, and special teams players almost exclusively. If you look at the 7th round as players that could make an impact on offense or defense, you are probably looking in the wrong spot. But as special teams players, its a gold mine to find players that you can get and won't have to compete with other teams to get them on the roster

Lol you must not have been paying attention to the Rodgers and Adams shenanigans prior to this draft

At least those two are worthy of being angry about.

Which teams have the worst fans and which have the least bad fans? Iknow i keep hearing certains fanbases in particular are unpleasant to say the least

Least bad? Maybe the Lions? I'll take Lions fans over Browns fans any day of the week. Browns fans are insufferable even when they're mediocre. Just the IDEA they might be good gets them screeching like baboons.

The answer is always no.
My fanbase is currently bitching about today despite us addressing two clear positions of need and none of these fuckers know jack about the top center prospects anyways.
(also tbh Chris Carson is almost certainly done now, neck injury + Pete being cagey + drafting his replacement while waiting for injury guarantees to be satisfied is exactly what we did with Kam when he broke his neck)

I have found your average fan has no idea just how valuable the Center is. Hell, I question whether some front offices know. Baltimore grooms this big, ginger meathead, who had no qualms fighting D-lineman, in to a pro bowl caliber center, and he ends up going to the Bucs while we're stuck cycling through bums who snap the ball over Lamar's head because Ozzie either didn't want to give him the money, or he couldn't because of that albatross Flacco contract. And there are people who think Mekari is just fine and bash the Linderbaum pick.

Ko looks like he will just randomly flip out and murder someone on the field.

Rumor is that either Brady or Gronk is requesting that Licht get some blockers as TEs because they're both getting too old for this shit. Considering how our picks went, this may be true.

Well, I'm happy with what the Saints did in the draft. Their first round picks were exactly what they needed; they took a great OT and a guy who is probably the best WR in the draft and ready to play day 1. It may have a cost two picks, but there was a good chance Olave wouldn't have been available when the Saints picked. Its only a bad deal if Olave doesn't pan out. Otherwise, their other picks aren't too bad; some works-in-progress, but that's what you get in the lower rounds. UDFA signings look potentially promising. The biggest post-draft news is that the Saints finally stopped beating around the bush and just signed safety Tyrann Mathieu. At this point, the saints are definitely contenders. If we could pick one or two more veteran wide receivers (like Landry and OBJ or Saunders) we'll be set.

I am sorry but I am just not feeling this season. Despite the draft being near me I just didn‘t care. I want my 80s football back!!!!

Not sure what Saints' cap status is but they're definitely our biggest contenders in NFCS.

Losing Payton hurts but Winston always has this weird thing where he'll just randomly power up and become the best QB in the league for a few plays and then do something stupid. If he can somehow figure out how to not panic and chuck it downfield then he's easily top 5 QB.

There's also the dark horse of Antonio Brown as far as WRs go. Any team who can manage to wrangle him could benefit, but that's a huge risk.

They actually cleared enough money to put them at least $75 million under the cap actually, all in the interest of getting DeShaun Watston...who subsequently went to the Browns. So the Saints have plenty of money to play around with.

As far as Antonio Brown is concerned, I don't think any team wants that headache, if they can help it. Brown has been a liability and been kicked off every team he's played for since he forced his way off the Steelers. The guy's got talent, but he just doesn't have his head screwed on straight. That stunt he pulled in Tampa has probably killed his career.

I still have a feeling some franchise is going to pull an "I can fix him."

He's really just that good. Hell, teams were picking him up after it was obvious he was fucking insane.

Speaking of headcases where the jury's out on whether or not a NFL team will be duped into signing them because of their prior track record, Earl Thomas now has a warrant for his arrest out in Texas. Apparently he started threatening his baby mama (who has a restraining order against him) and his kids over a custody dispute.

The universe has really piled on evidence that the only thing that kept this team even remotely productive post-SB 49 was Kam Chancellor knocking everyone's heads to keep them in line, and once he had to retire the entire squad spun out like vice from Pandora's Box.

Hey guys I heard from SPORTS MEDIA that this is the year the Dallas Cowboys have a good chance to go ALL THE WAY! OMG FIFTEEN SUNDAYS OF DALLAS SPECIFIC LARPING HERE WE GO.
I still find it funny that the Cowboys are the richest franchise in the league.

How many playoff losses will it take

Antonio Brown went crazy one year too early. All these WR getting paid and all he had to do was keep his cool. No doubt he would be getting a shit ton of money from some mid level team right now

Say what you will about Jerruh but the man's a marketing genius. IDK how he's managed to keep the Cowboys as the Lakers of the NFL without any of the corresponding success for the last 30 years, but damn if he hasn't done it.
