Their coach, Nathaniel Hackett, is a hackCan someone explain to me why the Broncos tried an on-side kick when they were up by three points… in the second quarter… with 11:45 on the clock?
Was it just to be lol so random? Or has their coaching staff been having a paint chip eating contest?
(They failed the on-side, by the way, and the Raiders turned it into a field goal as part of their first win of the season.)

My only guess in a vacuum is, they saw something busted about the coverage on special teams and wanted to try it out.Can someone explain to me why the Broncos tried an on-side kick when they were up by three points… in the second quarter… with 11:45 on the clock?

LaFleur and Rodgers ran the offense. Hackett was the guy who made sure to refresh the tape and keep his mouth shut when the game plan was being drawn upHackett appears to be in way over his head. Dude was the OC of Aaron Rodgers.
So it turns out there's already something like this in place, but the literal brain scientist working the game Tua first (apparently) got concussed at cleared him to keep playing and nobody second-guessed it.Thinking about what can be done to resolve this. I think the problem might be the concept of "team doctors" who have some incentive to keep the team's best players on the field. Why not have the league hire a cadre of their own docs, give them special training in concussions and the like, and then have one or two at each game with the power to override each team's docs and pull a guy out of the game, at least temporarily for further inspection, if it looks like his health is at risk? This seems like an obvious enough idea that I presume that it's already been discussed and dismissed by the league; is it just that they couldn't get the teams to sign off on it?
For fuck's sake.
The Pats are Zapping to the extreme against a Packers team that looks like shit.
Don't worry the concussion protocol has them consulting an independent neurologist who is...almost certainly on the NFL's payroll because who else would be paying them? There's definitely no conflict of interest there. At minimum, team docs should be fucking gone, and players should have the option of using their own or the unions.
Counterpoint: Giselle is the biggest cunt this side of the Atlantic not named 'Taylor Lorenz', and Tom Brady could do much better even today. Kick her ass to the curb, Tom!Brady might've actually ruined his marriage coming back this year.
Listen, I want the man to beat George Blanda's record for the memes, and there's nothing I enjoy more than shitting on the NFC South, but holy shit hang them up already if it's coming to this.
You married an athlete who wants to win and now he is coming back to a really good team like Tampa who still has a super bowl window. What a shock that he wants to keep playingCounterpoint: Giselle is the biggest cunt this side of the Atlantic not named 'Taylor Lorenz', and Tom Brady could do much better even today. He's got that pathological need to compete like Michael Jordan, so...You married an athlete who wants to win and now he is coming back to a really good team like Tampa who still has a super bowl window. What a shock that he wants to keep playing

If he doesn't retire I expect him to float to another team next year, which is fine. We can fix our roster and scrape the corpse of Julio Jones out of the locker room.
Not sure where he'd end up. Cowboys or 49ers maybe. Just a team with a good D that needs a QB to make everything click.
Yeah, I hated the guy as a Patriot (Broncos fan), got to like how he rolled in the NFC and appreciate him more since he wasn’t actively fucking my team over, but almost two decades still left him somewhat sour to me. With all that said, this is sad to see. Hopefully they make it as amicable as possible. Also she’s probably worth a lot more than he is lol.Brady might've actually ruined his marriage coming back this year.
