Prime Video streaming an exclusive Black Friday game, beginning in 2023. 3pm EST kickoff, teams TBD. Hopefully they can put together a quality matchup unlike this season's Thursday night games on Prime thus far.

Is this a substitute for the Thursday night game or are they just doing a Thursday night and Friday night game?Prime Video streaming an exclusive Black Friday game, beginning in 2023. 3pm EST kickoff, teams TBD. That's a big part of it. People know DTs but they don't really pay attention to O-Linemen unless they're fucking up and then the fans start calling for their heads.Almost every position corps has had some kind of breakthrough in technique, athleticism, etc but the talent pool for O-Linemen has basically remained unchanged my entire life just because all elite athletes don't want to put in the dirty work and want instantaneous glory.
Franchise tackles are already paid on par with premium edge rushers. Interior linemen not named center have about the same average salary as your prototypical defensive tackle. It could change once the lack of talent for O-linemen gets so low that they start getting massively paid. Nothing like making 4x the amount of a d-linemen to start changing where the talent goes
I just wonder at what point do teams decide to start protecting their star QB by investing even more money into the offensive line? At some point, the money just becomes too much for players to ignoreFranchise tackles are already paid on par with premium edge rushers. I don't think you can necessarily change the offensive line but I think offenses will adapt to this more and change things around. It just has to happen at some point where offenses punish these edge rushers severely or just start absolutely breaking down these defenses to the point that everything shifts againI wonder if the O-line isn't due some kind of overhaul akin to a 3-4 vs 4-3 defense. I have no idea if the rules allow for that kind of offensive flexibility as currently written. We've already seen teams going heavy tight end to bolster a pass play.
We'll still get a Thursday night game that week, albeit on NBC.Is this a substitute for the Thursday night game or are they just doing a Thursday night and Friday night game?
God damnitWe'll still get a Thursday night game that week, albeit on NBC.
You can already see some of this in the league with TEs and power backs doing pass pro sometimes.I don't think you can necessarily change the offensive line but I think offenses will adapt to this more and change things around. I wonder how much offenses will start to turn into runs and short screens with all these dropping back into coverage schemes. I see that as a way to stop these insane pass defenses but I have no fucking ideaThough I think the problem was most highlighted in the Bucs vs Steelers game where Steelers were dropping 7 into coverage and still pressuring Brady. Not really a whole lot you can do there.

Seems like a lot of his success comes from getting players (especially QBs) to act right.I mean, Bill Belichick's been doing this for years. For whatever reason, attempts to imitate this hasn't panned out.
Sounds like he needs a new team with a few million dollar contractAndy Dalton can fuck off, TWO pick sixes on back to back drives
Did the panthers trade the Golden Gate bridge to the 49ers too? Jesus what a stealChristian McCaffrey traded to the 49ers for their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks in 2023, and a 5th rounder in 2024.
He's dead.Christian McCaffrey traded to the 49ers for their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks in 2023, and a 5th rounder in 2024.
Isn't he on IR as much as he is anything else?Christian McCaffrey traded to the 49ers for their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks in 2023, and a 5th rounder in 2024.
