As a long-time Bears fan, da Bears have never had a good stadium situation. They also haven't had good owners since it was passed down to the kids. I'm hoping they find a way to make the move happen, but the organization has excelled at stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

And fair point up thread, downtown Chicago is way different than it was around 2000. They'd be better off moving to San Diego rather than staying in downtown Chicago.

I was in that area of the South Loop for medicine-related stuff five years ago, and unless something dramatically changed since that time it's entirely fine.

I'll agree to that. I have absolutely no investment or interest in this Bowl. I'm technically rooting for the Eagles but even that I don't really care about. Give me a complete shit show. I already have a suspicion that the viewership numbers for this game are going to be lower than last years, there's nothing for the rest of the fans of the NFL to give a shit about with these two teams playing.
