The Deshaun Watson trade truly is the most Browns thing ever. Michael Vick spent two years out of the league, and he came back a shadow of his former self, Stevie Wonder could have predicted that Deshaun would have a shitty comeback year, which is why the contract was so hilarious.

Good on Deshaun for securing the bag, lmao.

I wouldn't be surprised if Watson sat out on the Texans because he knew his shoulder was slowly getting fucked and he wanted to preserve his trade value.

When he came back last year he looked like Cam after his shoulder exploded mid-game. Constantly underthrowing balls into the dirt in front of receivers.

Well he preserved it. 230 mil guaranteed and the Texans got 3 first round picks for him. His career could legit be over, apparently this broken bone is an aggravation of an injury he suffered in week 3 this year and like you said that shoulder already looked sus last year. He'll play again, sure, but his chances of amounting to something in the NFL look pretty fn bad now

I have decided the Watson trade is officially worse than the Herschel Walker trade. Consider the following:

-The Vikings didn't have to give Herschel Walker a contract extension to trade for him
-The trade happened pre-salary cap, so it couldn't fuck the rest of their prospects
-Walker wasn't suspended for more than half of his first season with the Vikings and had decent (if below his standards) production when joining the team
-Walker didn't come down with a season-ending injury by week 11 1991.
-To say nothing of the fact that trading for Walker didn't immediately bring a PR shit storm to Minnesota.

They may have given up way more draft capital, and there's always that seething resentment that you fueled an NFL dynasty by being hoodwinked into a bad trade, but I think the above outweighs that.
I am not going to go ahead and say its officially worse than the Walker trade... yet. The Walker trade turned out to be one of the worst trades in sports after something like 5-7 years. So I would say wait a few years to see what happens, but its certainly going to be up there as a solid debate topic.

Few things to note- Browns still have a good team. They are 6-3 and half a game back in the division but have claim on the second wild card. Their defense is really fucking good too. They also have a 2nd, 3rd, 2 5th, 2 6th, and 2 7th round picks for next year, so its not entirely awful with draft capital. They can rebuild, assuming they draft correctly, and just take the hit with Watson.

The Vikings never really faltered that much with the trade. They were 11-5 in 1988, 10-6 in 89, had their first losing record in 90, went 500 the next year and then didn't have a losing record until 2001. The shittiest part about the trade was that it made the fucking cowboys so good. And the Texans might become good and might not. But they still have 2 more picks, first and fourth rounders from Cleveland next year.

Overall, it will take some time to cement this deal and how bad it was but its certainly heading there. Think it beats out the Trey Lance trade easily though

So, with all the talk of Bad Trades - who was the worse Trade from last year, Russ to the Broncos, or Watson? One brought down a PR Hellstorm and is a shell of his former self ability wise, the other saw the entirety of the Bronco’s collapse since joining.

Holy fuck can we abolish Thursday night games?
Such a terrible idea. I wonder if pitching a Tuesday night game would be more feasible? You just have to make sure that the following week is a bye week for both teams involved. Like, there are better ways to pull off a special night that can sell to Amazon but just a random Thursday night game after both teams played 4 days prior

Easily Watson.

DangerRuss may be a weirdo, but he doesn't seem to be outright hated or anything. If anything, people kind of see him as a simp since his ex fiance banged Golden Tate and Sierra has one of Future's 10 kids.

And while I hate Payton, I do think the Broncos just lost a couple of close games, (other then the 70 burger they got dropped on em) and can improve.

Being a bad team/player is one thing. Being a bad team with a serial rapist on it is another.

Not to mention beating two playoff contenders in a row. Although the 2nd one's more telling of the Bills' situation.

Speaking of AFC teams, y'all think the Dolphins are legit or frauds? Personally I think they could take on legit opponents but need to be better.

I think they're pretty much the same as they were last year, a decent team buoyed by some big games against bad teams but not at the top of the league. They're lucky this year that the Bills are collapsing and the Patriots and Jets are even worse. Four of their wins right now are against the three worst teams.

Lamar's already looking pretty beat up. If he goes down the Dolphins might seriously luck into the AFCCG solely because the injury bug ate all their competition (and then whatever the hell is going on with the Bills this season.)

McDaniel is the most overrated HC in the league IMO. All of his gimmicky misdirection just isn't working against disciplined defenses.

Somewhere even Bobby Bonilla is laughing.

That magical middle spot where they are the best team in their division and could probably win a playoff game. But they will not come close to sniff a super bowl. Although I will say, if they avoid the injury bug at the right time and it hits a few others, then they could have a good run

>Deshaun Watson done for the season
>Joe Burrow done for the season
>Lamar Jackson has an ankle injury but appears to be okay

Mike Tomlin voodoo 2/3 so far this week. Watch out Lamar

Somewhere in the distance, Yinzer Mode has been activated, and screams of “Steelah’s Goin Tah SupahBowl!!!!!” can be heard.

That or the Steelers are getting completely blown out after getting 9 Wins. It’s the Tomlin way.

His autistic version of moneyball is kind of funny, but requires a lot of things to go right, and a good amount of luck. His 3rd string QB beating the Bills in the Wildcard last year game would of been meme-worthy.

I still think Tua's gonna hurt himself before the playoffs though.
