I believe I do remember the exact play that you're talking about and as a Giants fan, it was particularly sickening. You're right, I've never seen some shit like that ever since.
I'm glad someone else remembers so I feel less crazy. I have a feeling it was the 2013 or 2014 game in Dallas. If I remember right, Steve Weatherford was still the punter when it happened. Jerry was probably sick of the Giants continuing to win in his new palace so he got the refs to rig it even more.

I know the refs were trying to rig the 2011 Divional game against the Packers. This play is burned in my head because I was convinced the Giants were going to lose due to the refs.
(the play is at 2:35)

We ridin' high Bronco chads
At the risk of repeating myself - The Bronco's going from being in a Tank Bowl to having a 5-Game Streak, in the same season, is the entire reason I think no one on that team is passing a piss test.

Yeah, maybe Sean Payton managed to make the team click, I can't write off the possibility - I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it came out this run was fueled entirely by PED's.

The rules started to change about 20 years ago, when the league got tired of Peyton Manning and the Colts getting their shit pushed in by the Patriots' physical style of defense, especially in how their Defensive Backs use to rough up the Colts' Receivers.

It wasn't nearly as faggot mode as today, but Refs started to "call the game" more in favor of the Receivers having more free releases.

Even back then, QB's needed to have the ability to immediately assess where the ball should go. It wasn't this whole "1, maybe 2 reads and if it's not there then take off running" that you see practically every team employ.

Do you remember those random plays where Brady or Manning would get the snap and immediately throw the ball into the ground ? Yeah, that was because right at the snap they could see that the Defense had the play perfectly covered and nothing good was going to come from trying to extend the play and "make some shit happen".

To me, that's an example of truly exemplary QB play. You don't really see that these days because most of the QBs are drafted for "athletic traits" rather than being cerebral extensions of the coaching staff on the field.
I think this may be (one of) the problems with Mac Jones. Belichek drafted him thinking a guy with strong football IQ could be trained up physically into the next Tom Brady. But now that the general game plan for QBs has changed, that strategy doesn't work anymore.

And yes, I am aware that having a terrible O-line and WR corps doesn't help either.

We need to bring back a good ole tar and feathering session. Just for the faggots who write about sports but actually don't like sports
Deadspin was one of the progenitors of this antiwhite sportsball cancer that is so prevalent now. I just hope they go the way of Gawker and get sued out of existence.

This entire season has been on acid bro.

As a Lions fan I'm just waiting for the trip to wear off around the 2nd round of the playoffs or so, lmao.

Game going poorly?! SEAN TAYLOR ALERT!

I hope the Dolphins win tonight

Well the Lions really tried to ruin that game of theirs. Holy shit they really need to do something about their defense, they should still easily win their division but they're looking at a first round exit if they keep playing like this.

I enjoy every time it flashes to the sidelines and it looks like Nick Sirianni is about to start crying and pissing himself because an obvious flag was thrown against his league chosen team.
