So, does the NFL think it's attracting a female crowd by turning itself into the gossip pages?

Because womaning-up the Marvel Cinematic Universe didn't work out for Marvel Studios.
With all the money they made from Taylor Swift being at those games? Yes.
Probably because they've got a reasonable chance to be the next real dynasty in the sport (and North American major sports,) the media is clamouring to anoint Patrick Mahomes as Tom Brady's brown heir as the greatest quarterback of all time
Chance? Dude, they've BEEN the dynasty. The past 5 years have been pretty much been the Chiefs all day everyday. Their current reign is no better or worse than the Patriots has been in years past. It's already happened. If anything, the Patriots are in their DOWNSWING and are being propped up thanks to Refball. They haven't been looking so hot the past few games prior to the playoffs.

I'm interested to see if Mahomes can keep this up. The dude is 28 years old and mobile qbs tend to age like milk after they hit 30 and lose a step.
He doesn't rely on his legs, they're just a perk of being in his 20's. It's a very important distinction.
The better question is if he can avoid tennis elbow because football doesn't have the concept of a relief QB, he isn't Randy Johnson, and those sidearm throws are my bet for what will eventually get him in trouble

It appears that Pat Mahomes Sr. has been arrested for the 3rd (yeah, you read that right) time for DWI in Texas. Already out on bail it seems, but Jesus Christ, when it comes to DWI, even once is too many in my book. Especially in this day and age of ride shares.

So let's see...Jackson Mahomes and the wife, Brittany, are walking cringe-fests who should be banned from social media; then you have this Mom, who has her own grifting site called QBProducer or some shit where she makes custom tote bags.

So this leads me to conclude that aside from athletic talent...cringeworthy grifts also run in the family ?

Mahomes appears to be the only sane and well-adjusted adult person in his gene pool. I wonder if this will impact his performance in the Super Bowl.

I'm still rooting against KC of course, but I'd be lying if I didn't think that it sucks for Mahomes that he has to deal with these "distraction handicaps".

I figure Pat either has a hell of a lot of restraint keeping himself from going the Rodgers route and cutting off ties, or some massive skeletons in his closet his agent has helped him keep quiet about

Didn't this dude had a bunch of run-ins with the law back in the day?
Matt Patricia and his crew gangraped a woman on a beach in college then intimidated her into silence just before the detectives were about to charge him. Everyone in the NFL knows he did it but keeps employing him.

The Bucs took away his running lanes in the Super Bowl and made him look like Curtis Painter.

Wow, so he's an actual rapist? And I thought he only raped the Lions pocketbook for a paycheck (and any team dumb enough to hire him to sabotage their team, looking at you, Philly, LMAO!)

They also utterly battered him because at that point wet tissue paper would honestly have been more effective than the Chiefs offensive line and I think that played a much bigger factor than him being unable to get downfield.
You have to be beyond elite to break down and target an NFL-caliber defense in half a second. Even Brady, who is a football psycho, would look exposed in that situation.

Did Washington seriously just hire Kliff Kingsbury as their new OC without ever actually firing Bieniemy?

That's...odd.
Seems the writing has been on the wall all the way around.

Kingsbury's hiring made it unlikely that Bieniemy would return to the Commanders, but even before the team landed Kingsbury, Washington interviewed other offensive coordinator candidates, including Chip Kelly.

The Commanders also let Bieniemy interview for other jobs. Notably, he got a chance to interview for the Raiders' offensive coordinator vacancy, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

It seems that Bieniemy's dismissal was all a part of owner Josh Harris' commitment to a full rebuild of a Washington franchise that was in turmoil under Dan Snyder.

Harris started that process by adding Adam Peters to the team's front office, where he will be in charge of football and personnel decisions. Then, he brought in a new head coach in Quinn to provide some on-field stability.

Story of his last season with the Bucs.

1. Receive snap
2. Look to left to see if Goedeke fell over again
3. Well he's on the ground time to check it down on 3rd and forever

How do these guys keep failing up?

Miami Dolphins hire Joe Barry as a Defensive Assistant

Going back to a position coach after being a defensive coordinator for, what, like the 3rd time now isn't "failing up"
The man is good at getting 6'5" 250lb dudes to stuff the run, and every time he experiments outside of that it goes tits up. I hope he embraces what he is, trying to do it a 4th time is psychologically unhealthy.

No, actually he's not. He's one of the worst. He's also one of the men behind the Lions 0-16 season, so....
