I don't know why the Broncos would really want him considering he can't last a whole season.

He'd be a good pickup for a team like the Commies that's drafting a QB though. Have Jimmy G help install the new offense and then your rookie can take over once all of his ligaments break again.

As a guess - the Broncos would want him if he's cheap. They're going to be eating Russ's contract for a while, and honestly Russ is probably the real winner of that trade - he got paid and then immediately regressed, now he Bronco's are stuck paying off that extension.

Jimmy G, for his injury issues, would probably be a cheap 1-2 year deal while they try and develop some rookies.

Nix/Penix/McCarthy will probably all go in the first two rounds and there's some serious opportunity cost there considering how stacked the class is at WR and OL.

Next year's QB class looks pretty dismal. If you're a team that needs a QB you're in a really tough spot right now.

And they don't have a second round either. I wonder if the Broncos might look into just taking a cheap veteran or 2 and try to build something that doesn't involve a good QB
 
I know I already said Mike Pennel had a great game against the 49ers, but I didn't realize how good it was until I watched a few All-22 clips. He started off the year on the practice squad and was elevated to starter when Derrick Nnadi went down. In the super bowl, he put 11 time probowler, Trent Williams, in the dirt at least once and picked up a solo TFL on CMC.

Butker is one of the few reasons that I can feel somewhat ok about the Chiefs winning yet again.

This is truly wonderful news. UCLA, located in a city that should be nuked for the sake of humanity, gets one of the most overhyped coaches in modern history.

Sherm got busted for a DUI, again
He's obviously got a problem, especially given the low overall hit rate on DUIs. He has to have been driving drunk a whoooole lot more than the WSP could notice.
I almost want to find a way to invite the dude to my local AA group (in the general area, I think it's 15 minutes north of his in-laws' place from the LAST drunken escapade he went on) but he has pretty much all public communication blocked and there's no way I could do it without coming off as an embarrassing cornball.

UPDATE: Sounds like he was jumped.
NEW: Quarterback Cam Newton gets jumped by a group of men and successfully takes them all on by himself without throwing a punch. Beast

The incident reportedly happened at the B.E.S.T. Academy 6-12 in Atlanta for what appears to be a 7 vs 7 event. At the moment, it is not currently know what exactly started the fight. Newton eventually received help from bystanders and a police officer.
