Williams could admit he loves anime and Krillin is his favourite Dragonball character and Bears fans would support him if he regularily takes them to the playoffs.

Same reason Seahawks fan didnt mind Wilson's weirdo behavior for so many years. Results are more important.

Then you have Captain Kirk Cousins, who was a weirdo and took us to the playoffs twice in 6 years ☹️
I know it's cliché to blame the wife, but pre-Ciara Wilson's weirdness was more on an "overly excitable youth pastor" wavelength.
The weirdo behavior exploded after he married her. That's when we got "Mr. Unliiiiiiiimited", the contract extension announcement video posted immediately post-coitus, and that's when he started really chasing MVP accolades and had his people start feuding with the team.

Joe Burrow is probably the QB who I actually enjoy watching most.

He's got an "old school" style where he's accurate, has a great throwing motion, a quick release, hits guys in stride and is super accurate on the long ball.

Sure, he can run but compared to other QBs he doesn't take off so early in his progression.

If only he didn't have faggot tier takes "social" topics, but I guess you can't win 'em all.

Highschool friend of mine has draft tickets and invited me for whatever reason even though I barely talked football with him.

Might try to call Goodell a faggot or flash the Kiwi patches if I get on TV. Anyone know good restaurant's in Detroit?

I say go for it. Should be a fun time especially if you have your eye on some prospects. Calling Goodell names is the icing on top of the cake. Try and get a chant going maybe ?

NFL changed their kickoff rules to reflect the XFL. IMO this is the best we could get with the safety rules still being a thing. Unfortunately, we eliminate surprise onside kicks but in return, we get actual returns. I also think the return for touchdowns number will improve. None of these opinions are hardcoded into my head so call me a retard on your own time
Honestly they should just replace the kickoff with a 4th and 25 at the 30-40 yard line. The team can either go for the 1st down to keep the ball or they could punt the ball like a normal 4th down and the team will either receive the punt or get the ball wherever the attempt fails. Punt return touchdowns are more entertaining and exciting and occur more often than kickoff return touchdowns. The 4th down method has all the elements of a kickoff with the option of the onside kick. One play, if you go for it/onside kick, you either keep the ball or the opossing team gets it in advantageous field position. And the punt obviously works similarly to a normal kickoff. I dont really see any downsides to this other than boomers and fudds who will bitch and moan about the kickoff being an integral part of football (it isnt). Anyone have any legitimate criticism of this idea?

Lol, Bears can't catch a break when it come to QBs.
Everyone knows its illegal for the bears to have a good QB. Thats why Caleb Williams is going to be a bust.

Calling it now - Caleb Williams is either going to be a bust, only to have a miracle season after he gets away from Chicago, or he’s going to be good, but because he’s on the Bears he’s going to be like a Lamborghini in a trailer park.

If the Bears have one good thing going for them, its that they’re not the Panthers. Smallest of small mercies that that is…

Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis (younger brother of former Pro Bowl tight end, Vernon Davis) was found dead today at his Florida home by his grandmother at the age of 35. No official cause of death at the moment, but the police say that they don't suspect foul play. For those who may remember, he was the player back in 2018 who retired during halftime while with the Buffalo Bills.

This actually made me stop in shock today. Dude was a genuine talent and elite position player. Probably the only guy who could defend Reggie Wayne. I actually met him when on a trip to Indianapolis and he was the nicest person. What a terrible thing to happen.

He was underrated for most of his career and it sucks that what he's going to be known for going forward is retiring at halftime in week 1 and (probably) dying of a drug overdose.

Cornerbacks during this time (2009-2017) were one of the best position groups. Just off the top of my head, I can think of names like Darius Slay, Casey Hayward, Malcolm Butler, Chris Harris, Aqib Talib, and Patrick Peterson. I think a lot of people forget just how good defense was in that time period. Probably some of the best defensive players since the late 70s.

Also, it takes a true sigma chad to just retire at halftime in week 1. He gave up a touchdown on an easily defendable pass and was humble enough to recognize he was no longer worthy of playing. Truly an example for everyone to follow.

The Legion of Boom came and went in this era too.

What a shame. Every story I hear about Vontae is how much of a sweet, kind person he was. What a tragedy.

A truly wild out of left field story developing right now. Apparently the Bills are finalizing a trade that sends Stefon Diggs to Houston for a 2025 second round pick, 2025 fifth round pick, and a 2024 sixth round pick. Pretty major as Diggs has been WR1 in Buffalo for a long time and a great weapon for Josh Allen.

Sneeding is in full effect and the Bills are now in rebuild mode it seems.

And just like that Houston has taken the Bill's playoff spot for next season, lmao. I wonder what the over/under on CJ Stroud to Diggs TD's are gonna be?

He all but disappeared during the last half of the season and is a total diva, I'm not surprised the Bills moved on.
What I AM surprised about is letting Gabe Davis walk in free agency when they all but had to offload Diggs. Sounds like the Bills FO is writing off the next season and hoping they can bank on a deep WR draft this year and whatever their options are next year to retool things.

If Diggs plays at the level we know he can, I’d bet 15 at minimum.

What’s even more concerning is that the Bills are also eating $30mm for Diggs to play in Houston for the next two years. They really got taken on this and deserve to be clowned on by fans.
