I hate the Chiefs so damn much. Every single game of theirs is proof positive that the NFL is rigged and puts their fingers on the scale for them.

Rooted for them in LIV because I wanted to see Walrus Man get one, but I've grown to despise them so much that my hatred for Mahomes, Kelce, Reid, and Taylor Swift rivals my fondness for my own team every week. The fact that a stupid also-ran franchise has become the object of such preferential treatment deserving of such hatred disgusts me. Fuck them all, Len Dawson, the entire state of Missouri, Roger Goodell, the refs, and barbecue. They can all burn in Hell for all I care.

Okay, I didn't actually mean that part about barbecue.

My Brownies are back on top, but I'm not convinced this is a team that is at full game speed. Still a lot of miscues, though not nearly as bad as last week. 13 penalties for 100 yards is not a disciplined team on either side of the ball.

Impressed with Watson's performance today, but we only have last week to compare it to. A sub-200 yard performance with 0 passing TDs when you have a great receiver core? No excuse. Watson did have a rushing TD, which makes up for no passing TDs, but he's gotta get back in rhythm. Offense seemed to be running on a tighter clip. The first drive alone being over 10 minutes with a nearly 50/50 mix of run and pass plays was wonderful to watch. That is the type of football Cleveland needs to be playing. Defense did a great job keeping pressure on Lawrence, forcing him to rush throws and collapse the pocket. Our rushing offense, once again, shined a bright light to our strength. I am, however, still missing Nick Chubb, who will most likely get the start in week 5 against the Commies. I do feel confidant in our running attack with both Jerome Ford and D'Onta Foreman, who seem to have a dynamic duo energy. David Njoku is also sorely missed, but Jordan Akins has filled his spot very well and is a great backup option.

Next week we have the Gnats. If Watson doesn't get a 300 yard, 2+ TD performance out of that terrible defense, then I don't know where we go from there. We also need to get Amari Cooper involved more and start giving him more targets. If he's our WR1, we need to give him WR1 stats.

If there's such a thing as a good loss, I'll take what happened to the Patriots today. Going into this season I figured three wins tops, and not being competitive in most games. I still think .500 is unreachable, but the team looks far more competitive than I ever expected. Can't figure out if Jacoby is helping the team or holding them back. But the product on the field is at least watchable, and seems likely to remain so for the season, unlike the mess last year.

When you draft a QB at the third spot in the old days (prior to 2010) the expectation was that he would in fact sit for the the better part of a season, or maybe the whole season. That's largely out the window, but it is the situation we're in with the Patriots... still, I am curious. Hard to say.

At any rate, far more optimistic that I would be were I a Panthers or Giants fan. Even if all three teams finish with comparable records.

He is a sacrifice to make sure your line can protect Maye better when the time comes and TBH, as much as I enjoy my Seahawks having a league-average pass rush again, you can tell he's been playing for almost a decade now with how well he manages that pocket.
There were multiple plays today where that line almost instantly collapsed and he stepped forward and conducted his business without even breaking a sweat.

Patriots could have a great upside in the next few years. Jacoby definitely isn't going to be The Guy, but there's obviously been a culture change since Belichick retired. Perhaps changing the guard is what it took to get back on track? I'll reserve my judgement on the Pats until week 8 or 9. The next few games (Jets, 49ers, Dolphins, Texans) they could easily go .500 and still be in a good position. The schedule this year isn't exactly made of good teams, but they have a good balance between competitive and non-competitive.

The Saints severely under preformed for their level of talent last year and they did improve in the offseason. I have no idea if they will continue to play at this level.
Getting a new OC improved them immensely. A Shanahan-style offense is the perfect fit for their roster (incredibly good skill position players with a gunslinger QB.)

I wouldn't be surprised if someone poaches Kubiak for HC next season though.

Houston already looking strong, and I have no faith the Bears will be able to keep up. Those pumpkin alt-unis also look like trash.

Beautiful win for the Vikes today, holy shit. No WR1, WR2, TE1, or RB1 until near the end there with Jones, and we still won. The fumble by jones in the end zone hurt really bad though, he was pissed the whole rest of the game after that.
I just remember Darnold as completely deer in the headlights, or as he said he was "seeing ghosts." Good to see a change of venue has settled him down, at least for one game.
