Lions entering the Dallas tilt with only one injury, guy that's been on IL since the beginning of the year.

Really hope Goff drops 40 on them
Lions are the 2015 Panthers, a shitty team the football gods decided to make good for a brief moment in time so their inevitable fall back to Earth will be hilarious. They'll probably beat the Cowgirls though. LMAO. Pay that man, Jerry!

I hate early byes. There's so much more football left to play. Also by the time the playoffs roll around, everyone is dog tired.

Don't know why they are allowed earlier than the second half of the season.

If I had to guess, it's cynically about maximizing the programming schedule. Restrict byes to only after a certain point in the season means less games to fill slots (and sell ads) if you inevitably put way more teams byes on the same day with less days to spread them out.

I really don't see that as true. The Lions built their team on both lines up, something the Panthers did not do. The core of the team is young and ready to play for another 5-6 years, and each year Holmes has drafted he's made immediate impacts with picks all the way down to the 5th round.

Dan is not a wunderkid, but he's smart enough to surround himself with people that are smarter than him. I think for once the Lions have become a stable organization with a bright consistent future.

This nigga seriously had like one insane year at Clemson and it's given him so much fucking rope to hang himself with.
EDIT: literally every time this game cuts to Doug Pederson he has a 1000 yard stare that would make Saleh last year look well-adjusted. I think he might get thrown into the Thames after this game.
EDITER: ok maybe Lawrence's targets are also the problem but he still has an underthrowing accuracy issue. But literally every wideout is dropping basket passes

I'm just astounded HE reset the QB market this offseason. It's not like he had a breakout year last season, if anything he regressed. Why they decided to pay a guy who can't even get you a wild card spot is beyond me. I feel for Doug, not to say he's not a part of the problem too, maybe getting a pink slip from the Jags is the best case scenario for him though.

Sunk cost fallacy is real in Jacksonville.

I didn't get to watch the game, but the score whenever I checked made it look like the Bears were in control absolutely all game. Is there a point at which they just say "fuck it, give Mac Jones a try?"

EDIT: Blocked Field Goal to tie it up with the Cleveland Epsteins lol
At least Hurts hasn't thrown any picks...yet :(

Edit: Also Sirriani shaved his head?

Edit 2: We didn't win, Watson lost. One of the worst games I've ever sat through on both sides, we were just slightly less ass than Cleveland.

Justin Fields is literally every joke people made about Lamar Jackson before he developed into a decent passer.
