Probably a combination of Darnold having a renewed culture and climate, with a really good offense between pieces on the line and out wide. Great WRs don't make super-ass QBs look good, example A being Larry Fitzgerald.

No disrespect, but I think a lot of guys in the league would look good if they were airdropped into Minnesota right now. Good protection, good offensive targets, decent run game to keep defenders on their feet, and a good offensive playcaller. It's more of an indictment of his previous offenses than anything.
I think that's why they were initially confident dropping in JJ McCarthy immediately before he just broke in the pre-season.

Also, another prime time shitfest of refball. Flags on seemingly half of the plays, 80% of which were nonsense PI or holding calls against MN that were questionable, tons of holding on Rams oline that never got called, blatant holding on JJ's helmet catch that was low and behold also not called, etc etc. Awesome NFL, totally doesn't feel like I'm watching WWE with wishy washy bullshit.
One thing MN was lacking this game was the pass rush, literally non existent. And Darnold not running for that first down was a Brett Favre moment.

Even with that O-line Goff has been throwing fucking darts and playing out of his mind this season.
His best targets are a slot receiver (usually a QB's #2 because it takes a while for his route to develop) and a tight end.

The distinction between a receiving RB and a slot WR is pretty much up to the dude calling plays for the offense.
