The Vikings are on fraud watch. They keep getting bailed out by total ineptitude by the opposing team.
They're not nearly as good as their record indicates, but I don't think they're exactly frauds. That's a pretty darn solid all-around team with a great WR corps. They make Darnold look like he has a pulse.

The thing to take away from the Sam Darnold situation is that regardless of who you draft, if you don't have an offensive front line, and the team is never going to get one, that kid is going to look like hot shit.

But the Jets won't learn that lesson. Just like my Browns didn't learn shit with Baker Mayfield.

I honestly think that shitty organizations look at a team like the Ravens and think "well they just drafted a superstar". Never mind they already had a good team and a really good front office. Never mind the coaching staff basically shredded their entire playbook mid season, going from Flacco to Jackson. Never mind that they have continued to work on improving his passing and the play calling.

No...any perennial shit organization could just draft a QB like Jackson and it works. See RGIII in Washington.

I swear to God, some of these organizations are run by children. (Cue Jets reference).

Why won't the Falcons just die?!
They're not only playing for themselves tonight; they are playing for a certain Georgian 100-year-old head of state peanut farmer who just so happened to be the worst president we've had in the last half century. THIS ONE IS FOR YOU, JIMMY!

I laughed so hard that I almost choked on my own food. If anything, I am surprised I missed this.

That was some of the shoddiest EOG time management I've seen. How do you have two timeouts available to you and still blow away what felt like 20-30 seconds

Watch half of the Bears games this season, it happens. Depressing, but happens.

Week 18 Lions vs Vikings has been flexed to prime time this coming Sunday.

The implications of this game are massive, whoever wins will finally become the division winner and get the first seed. It might honestly be the most important game in regular season history. A must watch indeed! Who do you think will win and why?
Much as I hope it’s the Lions, I’m going with the Vikings solely off the fact the Lions defence legitimately might be random people grabbed off the street at this point from all the injuries they’ve sustained - at this rate I legitimately wouldn’t be surprised to see Dan Campbell suit back up they’re running that low on bodies.

That's kind of where I stand as well. The Vikings lead the league in deep passes currently AFAIK and have put up at least 20 against everyone except for the Jags. I don't see how the Lions will contain the offense. At the same time though I wouldn't put it past the Lions offense sticking it to our defense with the sheer power of "woo" that they've had all season and could see this being very back and forth easily. I'm like 55/45 in the Vikings favor.

I can't believe they want 18 weeks. I've been ready for playoff football for a month.
The owners charged Goodell with raising profits and he's taken them, along with team valuations, to record levels. They either don't think the current bubble will pop, or they don't that it will. More games = more money. They won't add preseason games. Preseasons games, weed, and another bye week are what they'll concede to the player's union.

There are cracks already and more are forming. The bubble may naver burst thanks to gambling, but the game is certainly changing and not for the better. It's just another case of an industry that appeals to a niche, even a rather large one, not being satisfied with where they're at and wanting to get all the money they possibly can.

I'll watch until my old man croaks because it's one of the things we do together, but each week is like watching the league die a little bit.
