Big Mike's contract officially ends on the 14th. Jerry is scared that the Bears will offer Mike a buttload of money. FYI, Jerry didn't pay him very much as Mike is in the top 5 lowest paid HCs.
Goddamnit I hope the Bears don't sign him. To be honest, whoever they sign is gonna be fired in 2-4 years anyway.

But they kept Telesco lol.

Also it looks like the Cowboys denied the Bears request for an interview with Mike McCarthy.
That's the weird shit, coaching was absolutely not the main problem

It'd be different if this was just any game, eggs get laid at times- look at the Ravens and Browns game for example. But this one game happened to be the most meaningful normal season game in history. Going out there and shitting the bed like never before against a bunch of 3rd string DB's with how much there was on the line is simply indefensible. You just CAN'T let that happen that bad. I still love my team and have high hopes going into next week but they're gonna be feeling this one for a while.
I hate to do this because all NFC North wins which aren't the Packers hurt me. But you seem down bad off of a stupid good Vikings season is premature. At least be eliminated before you moan how your rebuild year on an offense with a backup QB somehow landed as the 2nd or 3rd best NFC team and a real contender. Miss me with the "oh no maybe I'll have to pay Sam or start JJ and have Dan Jones as a free backup" woes.
Also I secretly hope the Vikings get it because Aaron Jones deserves a ring
J love is going to win a Super Bowl one day and I like Malik Willis too #blessed

Poor quarterback play was part of the reason for the loss yes, but it was not the only reason. At the end of the day though I'm not concerned about our QB room or QB future, I still like Darnold and trust team leadership with JJ and Daniel Jones. But when a team that has proved themselves time and time again this season and is expected to continue doing so uncharacteristically shits the bed in a historically important regular season game that's going to raise concern in most people.

I think that just might qualify as cruel and unusual punishment, tho no matter who they pick doesn't matter since the problem originate from the top
I think he might actually realize going there is a poison pill, in the event he's released.
Like, Dallas isn't paying for him to sit on the couch, (there's a reason Jerry always waits until the last year of a coach's contract) but I think even he knows there's no future going to Chicago

I just wish they would do different shit for the pro bowl.

Like the flag football is silly. Have them just do random shit like some of the guys do bowling. Some do darts. Have some try to do a swimming thing like 100m in an Olympic pool.

Sort of like those old sports competitions they used to do with athletes and TV stars back in the 70's.

I'm not the biggest McCarthy fan, but he led the Cowboys to 12-4 seasons 3 years in a row. He's also consistently been competitive when Dak isn't injured.

To get rid of him for an unknown at this point would be a bad idea.

TBH even though Jerruh is a meme I think their success over the last 3 years is more on the roster than good coaching.

I meant for the Bears, it would suck extra hard to have and lose with the coach the Packers dragged to the playoffs multiple times

Selection needs to go back to being just the coaches and players.
Have PFF (or some other trustworthy sports math nerds) select the starters and let everyone else vote on the rest of the roster. Have the respective selections announces 2 weeks apart, with the starters announced first. The public has a chance to rectify any snubs they feel happened and the actual best players at each position will be selected, win-win.

Well the Bears are losing regardless, because they are operated by a dumbass nepo baby who was even his mother's second choice

Big Bears doin thangs
