Jags kicker just hit a 70 yard field goal lmao
Jesus. Remember when Lane "The Faggot" Kiffen put Sebastian Janikowski out there for a 76 yard attempt to alog Al Davis? We're not that far off from it being reasonable.

I've been watching since the 80s when anything >50 was never attempted and 40-49 was a dice roll.

Kids these days been eating their Wheaties.

Yeah, I don't really care about them stopping a preseason game. Even if Marquavius Ja'Bobo at CB8 didn't get to show out there are more meaningless games to come.

I hope it doesn't get normalized for regular season games though.
Unless someone dies on the field, the NFL will demand the games finish. Your paralyzing hit will have a 15 minute delay to get you off the field and 10 minutes for the players to warm up and get over your life altering injury. The shield has money to make

It's happened during reg season games (bills bengals). I mean if you didn't want the risk of being hurt just be a Kicker

Depleted Uranium footballs are the only logical choice.
Isaac Punts' video on the 70 yarder goes over an undiscussed rule change that went through. Kickers are now allowed to prep K balls days in advance again. This changed around 2015 iirc when teams were given time before the game under ref supervision. It was normally done by an equipment manager. Specialist say it makes a huge difference as the softer leather allows it to have more compression leading to farther kicks and higher punts.

I'm going to make the bold prediction that we're going to see a 75yd FG this season if coaches will just take the chance. The league will just change the ball prep rules again if they don't like it.

You just know they're going to try to.

Oh be nice. The NFL has only changed two rules in their quest to get Josh Allen a Super Bowl and prove he can perform in clutch time.

Oh come on. Josh Allen's playoff losses to the Chiefs have almost all ended with the ball out of his hands. And I say this as a Dolphins fan who hates the Bills.

And speaking of Dolphins, Tua is out there in pre-season action because apparently he's been dogshit at practice and Ewers has been looking good.

Except for the last one where his hands were likely improperly spotted by the refs, so they changed a rule. You're right in that the other one the problem was he never got his hands on the ball, so they changed a rule.

I'm only giving the Bills shit because McDermott was a fagbag about the tushpush. I actually like the Bills a fair bit. Now I must hate them because of my Philly based obnoxiousness.

I mean, considering the amount of times Tua’s been out with concussions, it’s less surprising than anything else - I like the guy, but he’s arguably the obvious answer to the question of “Who’s going to be our next AB post career?”

My take aways from the overall preseason games (I personally only watched the Browns/Panthers game, I think preseason games are literal live job hirings):
If Shedeur Sanders actually starts, we are probably going to see some of the most retarded scrambles of all time.
He might possibly pan out to Winston tier shit-flinging in the Browns offense. Graham looks decent and will pan out.
Panthers still blow cock. Both teams seem to be unable to catch a punt and call a fair catch.

Jamal Adams Linebacker makes the Raiders Defense better. He should be able to nab some INTs in some of the zone schemes. Helps with the defensive vision.
Pete Carroll still believes he is on the Seahawks, however, and his offense will always ask for a Wilson-esque improviser. Bowers will get some yards.
Maybe too early, but I'm not sure if Janty is a good fit for this scheme. He might play a Lynch-esque relationship with Carroll, which is horrifying because he isn't that type of back.

Milroe is Milroe. He is a scrambler and will scramble. Seahawks seem built to fluid this year, expect fast change if things don't go well initially (possible another kirk situation).
Seahawks seem to be super run heavy this year, Darnold might just play game manager again, and every WR will become slant merchants.

Travis Hunter excites me (yeah yeah he basically did nothing). At the very least, he didn't blow his coverage completely during his D snaps and made pretty common rookie mistakes.
Offensively, tell this kid to stop trying to do that damn stop and spin move. He will blow out his ACL week three. RAC those for a couple yards.
#DrugTestKickers

We get our annual Trey Lance Hopium train in the preseason. Watch all Chargers games because Herbert will be put in a hospital eventually. Joe Alt is now sidelined for the season #RIP.
Saints QB room still a complete mess.

Falcons look interesting this season. If Penix doesn't shit the bed, the defense is begin to reap the fruits of their labor.
I think the Falcons are gonna be my dark horse team this year.
I had to wipe my eyes, because I saw Easton Stick put up Tom Brady numbers and throws.

Double-posting because I have the aura to. Notable news and lulz.

Ceedee Lamb gets hit-sticked by ref, penalized.

Morice Norris isn't dead. Nothing ever happens. Don't know specifics yet.
Below is a more or less comprehensive view of the injury. (Best view is a :59)

Patriots unveil the Tom Brady Glaze Statue.

Brandon Aiyuk incredibly vague timeline teased to be either "Week 5 or Week 10".
Cam Hayward wants money and will sit out regular season games (usually a nothing burger but all this talk about money and trades recently is interesting).

Kurisu is a Texan, btw. Kneel before the great 2-man RB duo that will grace you in week 6 while Shroud throws 300 balls.

Good preseason breakdown. I’m back in the swing of keeping up with my two favorite homosexual lovers:

I’ve never been a podcast guy, but I realized in 2023 that I was listening to these guys everyday for about 3 years straight when they were with PFF. Everyone in here (myself included) probably has some complex and nuanced takes regarding PFF. I’ll save you my opinions on them (I’m obviously not a fan of some of their metrics or their grading system, I do like that they are tracking every play though), but Sam and Steve are pleasant to listen to (to my ears) when they are speaking loud enough and enunciating their words.

That time of year is definitely around the corner. There’s a fantasy league that I’ve been running for years, and every year without fail, just getting a simple text back from some of these guys in my league is like pulling teeth. First year (2022) it was just me and 3 other buddies, so very casual. Every team was like the 07 Patriots. Next year I expanded to 12 teams with some guys I worked with, and we played for money that year. Last year I expanded to 14 teams, and that was a lot of fun. I ended up going all the way last year. I pulled off some crazy trades and ended with a pretty stacked roster. Even in a 12 or 10 team league my roster would’ve been stacked.

This year I wanted to give some control and customization to the other managers in the league, so I made up a poll for everyone to vote for what they wanted this year roster and scoring wise (Double QB, 3 WR, 3RB, Double Tight End, Half PPR, etc). I sent this poll out in July and have only heard back from 7 out of the 12 guys. It’s like nigga this won’t even take a minute and you’re paying to be in this league. Last year a guy called me right at the start of the draft and asked me how to log into ESPN Fantasy. It’s like what are we doing here dude.

I mean longer fgs increase scoring and benefits the token demographic of the nfl today: fantasy players. When has pussy ass goodell ever been against those things. Only if the fgs hurt bitch ass wrs and qbs

Its my bucket list goal to piss on that tom Brady statute

I’m not exaggerating when I say this guy must talk about black dick or not being African at least once a video. What the hell is this guy’s deal?? Am I just crazy?

Redditor.

Jon Gruden wins Nevada Supreme Court arbitration appeal against NFL and Roger Goodell

Surely the NFL will take it to SCOTUS, whether or not it's accepted is something else entirely. Forcing someone to arbitration with you overseeing the arbitration when you were the one who snaked that person in the first place is fucked. Florio also brought up a good point in that this didn't happen in the offseason. A league source, aka whoever Roge told to do it, purposefully tanked the Raiders season. This is around when sports betting really started taking off. Now the league owns stake in a book.

This is fucked.

Nah I noticed this in a livestream he did with Grossi a couple years ago too. Older normies (maybe 35+) have just seen too many tv shows and movies where the punchline of most jokes is black penis = funny. Not trying to flip too many tables or talk about the jews, but I think it’s been many long years of subconscious conditioning.
