Normally I’d try to find a silver lining, but the Bengals basically live and die off Burrow playing out of his mind and scoring 50 a game before being let down by the defence anyway.

Hopefully its not serious, otherwise at least you know you’ll be free in January?
ATM, they're saying it's a "toe injury", whatever that means. I know teams are pretty vague at the initial injury status, but that's the first I've ever seen "toe". So I guess that initially narrows it down to a turf toe or broken toe, but could be more serious like a lisfranc injury or some shit. Don't think they'd use a toe injury to describe an achilles injury either, but who knows. As far as random injuries on MVP-candidate QBs they get carted off the field, it seems like this is the least bad scenario. For now at least.

I just cant with this team, or these refs. How does that TD catch not get fucking reviewed? Andrews clearly made two steps AND a football move when he tucked the FUCKING BALL UNDER HIS ARM. Wtf else would that be? And why the fuck is Justice Hill STILL getting snaps instead of Keenan Mitchell. Garbaugh's a fucking joke.

The refs in this game are trash. That's two catches they've waved off, one for both team. If this challenge works, I'm gonna be pissed that Garbaugh didn't challenge Andrews' catch. He out here being shit talked because of shit from last year, over a pass he caught.

I was going to say "Urban Meyer", but somehow he made it 13 games!
I dumped it into chatgpt and this is what I got:
Shortest ever? Mid-game.

* On **Oct 16, 1921**, Rock Island Independents player-coach **Frank Coughlin** was **fired during the game** and immediately replaced by Jimmy Conzelman — the only known mid-game head-coach firing in NFL/APFA history. ([Pro Football Researchers][1])

If you meant modern timing benchmarks:

* **Before the regular season:** the Rams fired **George Allen** **after just two preseason games** in **August 1978**. ([The Washington Post][2])
* **Earliest in a regular season:** coaches have been dumped **after two games**, e.g., **Joe Collier (Bills, 1968)** and **Jack Patera (Seahawks, 1982)**. ([Wikipedia][3])

So the literal earliest is *mid-game* (1921); in the modern era it’s as soon as **Week 2**.
LOL, how do you get fired in the preseason??? Jesus

I then tried to see if there was anything slightly more recent.
Short answer: in the last 40 years, the earliest in-season head-coach change I can verify happened **after Week 3**—the Bengals’ **Bruce Coslet resigned on Sept. 25, 2000** (0–3 start). ([ESPN.com][1])

If you mean an outright **firing** (not a resignation), the earliest I can confirm in that span is **after Week 4**—examples include the **Raiders firing Mike Shanahan on Oct. 4, 1989**, the **Rams firing Scott Linehan on Sept. 29, 2008**, and the **Raiders firing Lane Kiffin on Sept. 30, 2008**.

So it seems like week 3 is a winner? Kinda hilarious that Lame Kiffen and Scott Linehan were fired on the same week.

Dolphins return a punt for a TD and the Patriots respond by returning a kick for a TD. If this isn't similatenously a condemnation for how Miami is coached and a praise for how New England is coached, idk what is.

did some reading on this, some interesting shit
First off, George Allen was a really good coach, as 12 years he never had a losing record
this was his 2nd stint with the Rams
he was super strict which rubbed the players the wrong way
some players even left camp for a bit
they fired him mid preseason
then made it to the NFC Championship
next year they make it to the Super Bowl

Jaxon Dart is taking snaps for the Giants late in a close game. Russell Wilson doesn't appear injured.
Edit: They appear to be platooning QBs. Lol why do that in such a close game?
Optimistic guess: They're trying to sub in Jaxon Dart to experience high-pressure situation. Why you would do it at this point of the season.

Neutral Guess: They're trying to spark something in Russell Wilson.

Negative Guess: Daboll is either a retard or having a stroke.

If Miami wins by 1, I am going to shit a brick.

EDIT:
Aaand blood pressure going back to normal.

Is it really that god damn hard to kick an extra point? That kicker needs to be fired right fucking now, because he almost cost the Pats the game against one of the worst teams in the league.

Hooray, our already injured team won against possibly the worst team in the League. Starting 2-0 is still going to be a big deal moving ahead though if we can actually keep the injuries from getting worse.

The thing is, McDaniel might not be bad as an OC - unfortunately, he hasn’t evolved his playcalling, at all, and other teams have enough tape to figure out whatever he’s going to do, and that’s before we get into how late he seems to make up his mind on what he wants the Dolphins to run every play.
Vrabel didn't watch the tape, apparently. That was quite honestly a pretty poor defensive performance from the Patriots.

How many times in a row did Tua drop back and immediately pass to his left? While they were lining up Waddle and Achane there? I'm not even sure how he gets plays in so late when it's just the same damn thing.

If I'm being honest that special teams fuckup by the Steelers that gave the Seahawks a gimme touchdown probably should've just been a touchback, no way our player had actual possession of the ball before it was out of bounds, but I'll take it.
Better game for the Seahawks overall, loved seeing Woolen try a bit harder this game and get DK angry at him.
