Well, what is the betting pool at this point on when McDaniel's gets fired? I think they can win a game in the next two weeks against either the Jets or Panthers, but week 6 they'll be facing the Chargers.

I have a feeling the ass-kicking from that game will be what does him in.
 
The Dolphins don't have their bye week until week 12, which seems like a lot longer than McDaniel will last if the losing continues, but then again their season already feels lost so they might as well keep him around to be the whipping boy until then. At least they've been competitive against the Patriots and Bills since no-showing the first game against the Colts.
 
Tua fucking telegraphed that last pass. The second the snap went off, he stared down the receiver and all the DB had to do was make a play. Games on the line and you do that?

At this point, Tua should retire and go back to Hawaii and spend the rest of his days with a thickass Samoan girl like Nani from Lilo&Stitch.

They definitely performed like a team that hasn't gone to complete shit yet at least. Their running game was fairly legitimate and Tua finally started getting the ball down field during the last half. It really just came to 2 critical mistakes. Roughing the kicker (which should have been running into the locker but w/e) because you're punishing the DT for not defying physics after blowing up the longsnapper) and the Tua interception.

I think of they got destroyed last night, he's be gone, so he bought himself a bit of time. I view he gets canned in the following scenarios:

- A blowout loss to the Jets next week.

- A string of blowouts.

Thankfully they don't have another divisional game for a bit after the Jets, and they play against the Panthers and Browns with the Chargers in the middle. McDaniel is probably safe for the near term if the Dolphins are able to appear competent the next month. I don't really see a way he doesn't get fired this year unless they do a 180 though.

It's worse. It was a linebacker. Tua was eyeing the DB off the route, but the LB was literally invisible to him. Hell, it's almost like he accidentally looked the LB onto the route when he was looking the DB off the route. What makes it even more worse is that's Tua's modus operandi. I don't know how he's so awful with his awareness, and my only guess is he's permaspooked from the concussion fairy that visits him every few months or so.

The late game INT against the Patriots was similar where Tua just threw to an LB sitting underneath. I wonder if LBs should just start waving that they're open and see if Tua passes to them.

Yes. He gives off major Reddit vibes. Even if Miami was doing well he'd lose the locker room eventually just by acting like a weird dweeb.

McDaniel has a bad case of vocal fry. It just stands out more now that he's stressed out, not sure of his thoughts, and looks like a fucking bum. I went back and watched a couple of minutes of his introductory press conference to compare, the voice is the same but he's relaxed, speaking in a normal cadence and wearing a suit so it's something you could overlook.

He was a severe alcoholic in his 20s and I think he may have fallen off the wagon. I'm pretty sure he's drunk or on pills in that video.

It really is interesting watching McDaniel crash and burn in real time. Remember, this is the guy that the media pushed hard as the next great wunderkind head coach.
