I know I'm late to the discussion but I wanted to wait until the outcome of the Dolphins game.

I think the Panthers HC is likely to be fired first. Dave Tepper is an erratic owner and the Panthers have been horrible under him. Brian Callahan is going to get fired too but I'm betting on Dave Tepper to get impatient first.

Ben Johnson’s incel rage at that dumb jeetess sideline reporter made me like him, his apology was gay.

Tyreek Hill might be able to play next season, but might be being traded to the Buccaneers if he needs more surgery.

Who’s the Texans fan here? I have AI slop for you.

It's only a matter of time. As soon as Dillon Gabriel struggles slightly, the negro menace will clamor for Shedeur louder than ever. TBH, I hope they get there wish. Then watch them spaz out when he doesn't even achieve Tebow tier stats.
I hope this happens and they start Shedeur for the Raiders game. Let the Condor feast.

Being a Texans Fan means complete sacrifice in all aspects. But, you save your soul.

You are not a Dallas Cowboy.
No hot white chicks glazing your QB, no Jerry Jones deal with the devil salary cap to save your team, no one believing in you regardless of a mediocre record.

You are a Houston Texan.
No white women live in Houston, your team is comprised of various players with controversial histories (sort of like that one friend you know), and winning your division just means that you always counted out for the big game.

Dallas represents all the gayest aspects of Texas rolled into one city; Houston represents all the Hispanic laborers which have some overlap with true Texas whyte values.
At the end of the day, I'd rather be gritty then gay.

When I was a young boy, I was a Cowboys fan, much like my father. I watched a near decade of Cowboy Games, watching many great players be wasted and leave.
Demarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, the entire great O-Line of the mid 2010s, Sean Lee, Miles Austin, Zeke, DLaw, Beasley, Demarco Murray, and my childhood QB, Tony Romo.
I remember having getting in fights as a kid when people would call him Tony Homo. I saw the 2014 "Dez Caught It" on live TV. I had a Miles Austin Jersey.
I think 2016 was the last straw for me when they wouldn't give him one last run. It showed me a franchise built on flash and not substance. Another player to be wasted.

So I slogged through some of the Texans games until 2018. I was a big Houston Rockets Fan, so it was easy to distract myself from horrible football.
That's until I saw JJ Watt comeback to his prime for one last time with Clowney producing at a PB level, a promising QB/WR dynamic with a dependable RB, signed a new FS with great promise, and decent linebacker room. It felt great. Defense fell apart after 2018, Mathieu not being resigned, Clowney and JJ Watt regression and injury, CBs got even worse.

Watson was my favorite player to watch for those years in between 2018-2020. I really believe he was gonna be the Texans iconic superstar QB for the next 10 years.
Even with Hopkins gone in 2020, he threw for the single season record, 4800 yards on 70% completion on a 33:7 TD ratio at 24.
He wanted the Bill O'Brian scheme, however, and requested a trade when he was let go after the 2020 season, and then the sexual allegation popped up as well.
The Watson trade with the Browns required patience, and at the very least, it was better than the Hopkins Trade.
It sort of opened my eyes to what Houston Football could really be, and I really liked it.
Caserio basically wasted the 2022 picks (him being shit) and 2024 (can't fault him for Diggs injury and a full send chance).
That 2023 draft, however. Wow. Chef's kiss.

This defense makes me very happy.
Great Edge Rushers, a top cornerback in the league, improving and promising starting safeties, a veteran leader at LB, and a defensive head coach.
I still 100% believe in Shroud, and I believe it's just really, really bad growing pains with a New OC alongside the previous season's sophomore slump.

And, since Tepper is a new money hire, he's less likely to fall for the "well I GOTTA give this coach time to draft his own QB after he failed to fix this one" that legacy owners fall for all. the. time.
I hadn't considered Canales being on the hot seat (and wish he wasn't, please someone besides Dan Quinn needs to grow the Pete Carroll coaching tree), but you're probably right. Even ignoring Bryce Young not looking like he's the guy.

He already fired Frank Reich halfway through Bryce Youngs rookie year. He's more than capable of doing it again.
Patient Dave Tepper

They need to get this guy a guardian cap and tell him he's always worn one. That CTE is progressing at sonic speed
Also rambling about how he eats lots of carbs to protect his brain.

Unlike AB and Hernandez, Tua never seemed like he was crazy from the get go. We're just watching his head turn into mashed potatoes in real time.

I have a small rant on
>black qbs
Part of their initial success is mostly to their dual threat ability that only exists due to youth. Russell Wilson is effectively the biggest example of this, his last few years on the Seahawks, Branco, and Giants saw how that goes. A lot of teams really depend on that. O-Linemen honestly aren’t being taught well enough because “the QB has legs”. When the athleticism dies with age you are stuck with an absolute retard who’ll make short passes and arm punt.

The rule change basically forbidding the defense from hitting some retard who does a late slide (or fakes one) makes this worse.

It seems that some franchises are trying to get away with below average o-lines by putting a mobile qb under center. It’s frustrating from a fan’s perspective to see upper management neglect arguably the most important piece of a football team and expecting an athletic QB to bail them out. Once Russ lost his explosive mobility he was reduced to relying on his moon ball and we all know how that worked out.

On another note who are you guys taking in tonight’s NFCW matchup? I’m thinking the Rams win by 10. 49ers are too banged up imo.

It isn't that teams are simply neglecting the o line, some certainly do, a big part of the problem is that colleges aren't producting as many good offensive lineman as before. It seems to be a combination of reasons and not simply "mobile qbs" at the college level as well.

Part of it is sheer neglect. The other part is rule changes, parents not letting kids play ball in favor of numerous things (soccer, lacrosse, cutting off their genitals, letting them be groomed online), black parents setting up schools where the entire purpose is kids that are 1-2 years old than everyone else play with kids 1-2 years younger than them (I know a few people who coach, not solely black parents, but a fuck ton of Highschool teams are 19 year olds beating the fuck out of 17 year olds who made varsity), and in general rule changes.

Rule changes that made the game less physical have made it a lot more dangerous. That might sound paradoxical, but it’s more players will do retarded shit like sliding in open field surrounded by 5 defenders because they’ll get a flag if touched.
