There's also just some retards who refuse to value good o-line play, particularly the interior. John Schneider, even when Russ was starting to lose his wheels and it became more apparent the high sack count was on more than just his style of play (seriously though, any team with Russell Wilson as starting QB, assume the O-line is maybe 8 spots higher in ranking for that season if he wasn't their QB), refused to invest in the offensive line. No day 1 or 2 picks, never extend the day 3 talent that did work out, he would assemble scraps and neglect the position group all the time because he thought linemen in general, and interior linemen in particular, were the most overpaid position in the league. He finally seized on the opportunity the Russell Wilson trade presented to get us proper tackles (the Seahawks LT is an above-average, "Pro Bowl if his team makes the playoffs" caliber guy, their RT is in the same tier when he's healthy, that's his biggest flaw), so he's either been bullied enough or wizened up enough to change his ways, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's a common old-school mentality in the league. I'm still astonished we managed to get him to draft a guard on day 1 this past year.It seems that some franchises are trying to get away with below average o-lines by putting a mobile qb under center. It’s frustrating from a fan’s perspective to see upper management neglect arguably the most important piece of a football team and expecting an athletic QB to bail them out. Once Russ lost his explosive mobility he was reduced to relying on his moon ball and we all know how that worked out.
On another note who are you guys taking in tonight’s NFCW matchup? I’m thinking the Rams win by 10. 49ers are too banged up imo.

RE: tonight's game, with how much of a hospital ward SF is right now, the Rams winning by only 10 points would be a huge accomplishment for the Niners. I legit think they're down to practice squad guys having to fill in at WR 3+
