That Seahawks-Rams game took years off of my life, I swear. I feel physically ill, still.
Darnold threw 4 picks, they weren't even "oh wow, nice play by the DB" picks, they were boneheaded picks, usually with a guy open elsewhere.
Our defense played lights out and made Stafford look mid during a MVP-caliber season.
Zabel might be hurt, which is terrifying, I don't want to go back to our interior line being entirely made out of wet kleenex again.

AND WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT CLOCK MANAGEMENT IN THE FINAL QUARTER? I am actually wondering if this team hasn't practiced hurry up offense at all this season.
Maybe since Darnold had one of his "play like complete dogshit" games now, he won't have one in the playoffs? He can't have that shit happen again like it did to drive him out of Minnesota last year.

His dick riders will come to his defense. Probably say some dumb shit like the coaching staff set him up for failure by not preparing him.
If anyone wants to laugh at the kinds of cope Sanders fans will come up with, I highly recommend Josina Anderson's twitter

The best that could be said about this lions-eagles game is that it happened started. Feels like nothing has happened since mid first half.
Fangio knows Goff crumbles when pressured and he was getting the shit beat out of him all game, and then the Eagles offense seemed to be force feeding AJB to keep him happy and it wasn't working.

Kind of a shitty game all around.

I don’t fully blame Goff, our oline is both young and beat up. We had multiple opportunities to win that game that we did not do well on, if that is Goff not being able to overcome the wind or just being rattled I am not sure.

I’m not dooming about the game because I feel like our offense actually did do well. Campbell’s play calling is better than Morton’s. It really is a season where I feel like even when not fully healthy it just needs to click. My dad was fucking dooming last night and my entire reaction was “we really just need to give Goff half a second more”.

As soon as that 4th and goal failed I shut the game off content with the knowledge that the Lions just lost the game.

When the 4th downs are just not clicking, YOU TAKE THE FUCKING POINTS, especially when you are down, holy shit. They had been stuffed on 4th down 3 times prior...

Pretty much. Eagles IDL was getting through and this really fucks with a QB like Goff because he doesn't really have the legs to scramble. Most of his incompletions were throwaways to avoid the sack.

In other news, when do the Vikings move away from McCarthy? Dude passes like AR.

The last one I think was the most egregious. Its one thing to go for it from the 3 yard line, but going for it on 4th and 3 from just past mid field in a 6 point game seems like a terrible idea.

Lane Johnson looks to be out till the playoffs. Here is a message for fans of any teams who beat the Eagles until then: Attention morons! Your triumphs mean nothing. You all stink. You can sit on it, and rotate! This is HHH. I fear no reprisal. Extension 5-1-7-0.

So, genuine curiosity, do we think the Browns put Shedeur on permanent clipboard duty and just be glad they only wasted a 5th on the NFL version of Bronny James, or are we going to see them double down?

Either way, methinks Stefanski is probably out at the end of the season, so prepare for Coach Sanders I guess. How the fuck the Factory of Sadness still has people show up is beyond me, can they just be relegated to the XFL or something?

Honestly, I think we still look fine. It really is can we put it together. The Lions lost their OC and DC, struggling against the reigning champs is not enough to make me doom. I honestly feel like if we had Campbells play calling, we probably would have beat the Chiefs.

For JJ, they are stuck with him. He had the benefit of having a good receiver core.

Big brain move would be to keep NFL Bronny James under center until 2027. He can lead them to the first overall pick.

Next year's draft class just does not look great at QB, like I would not be surprised at all if Mendoza is the only one taken in the first round.

I think they'll double down A.) because both Gabriel and Watson are injured still, and B.) He's already got playing time, so Shedeurtards are gonna get noiser and noiser wanting him to get more and more playing time.

Unless he starts getting more inventively bad or upsets O'Connell, they aren't moving on from him for another two years, most like.

You are making the very naive assumption that Stefanski has a lot of say here. I fully expect trading 2/3 QBs ahead of him on the depth chart so Stefanski literally had no choice but to field him once Gabriel got concussed was a result of Haslam's meddling.
Mark my words: after a second terrible season in a row, Stefanski (and maybe Berry, idk going along with these trades could be part of a deal to save his job) will be fired, Deion Sanders will suddenly lose interest in Colorado football, and the near-uninterrupted clown show that is the Expansion Cleveland Browns will enter a new, even stupider chapter.

Man thank you for saying this. I was just talking to my friend about how doom and gloom Lions fans get after a loss. It’s really my biggest complaint about the fanbase. I’ve been watching since 2011. Things have been worse. A LOT worse. You’re gonna have games like this.

One of the best defenses in the NFL + a handful of unfortunately timed injuries on our offense. We’ll bounce back. Our defense played amazing considering the personnel on the field. I should also be more pissed about the PI call but I’m almost use to this shit as a Lions fan. I expect about one a game when we’re on prime time and not favored.

I like Campbells playcalling more than Morton but I low-key wish Morton would get playcalling back. This is a strange complaint or observation, but I don’t like when head coaches call plays too. I feel there’s probably a million and one things you have to manage as a head coach during a game. In my head I imagine that having to call plays diverts some amount of brainpower away from other in game decisions.

If the raiders win tonight will sports media spend as much time saying how "they can still totally make the playoffs it's totally realistic dudes!" Like they are doing for the chiefs right now

I was optimistic heading into the season, but all I was hoping for was the team to show improvement from last year. If you had told me that in week 11 my bad news bears would be in first place in the north I would not have believed you. If they keep this up and actually make the playoffs, I don't see how anyone other than Ben Johnson wins coach of the year. Beyond satisfied with how this season has gone so far. And perhaps he is a bit zesty, but I think Caleb Williams might just a be a real franchise QB after all.
