Frank did not pass his physical, sprained hamstring. Supposedly from what I’ve heard online this was planned, Frank had issues in the off season and rather than sit out the whole year he’d rehab and unretire to circumvent some rule. All for fucking nothing if this was the plan.

It really is our oline that’s killing us this year. Campbell is doing some questionable calls, but it’s better than Morton who literally did “two runs and a pass” every time as play caller. I’m not in despair, but disappointed.
From what I heard it was a grade 3 strain. Which is basically a complete tear of the hamstring. I have no idea how Ragnow thought he could compete with this injury. The injury had to have occurred during the physical because there is no way at all for him to have seriously thought about playing if he already had this injury.

I am starting to get the impression that the 2023 NFC Championship game is going to haunt the Lions for a long time to come. Given how fast Campbell managed to turn the franchise into contenders I don't think it is impossible that they can get back on track and compete seriously again next year. However, I can also see this franchise going the route of Jim Schwartz for a second time.

worst-case scenario:
The Lions lose out and only beat the Vikings, so they miss the postseason with a losing record. The Bears, with their old playcaller as coach, finish with the better record and make a run in the postseason. The Rams win out, and Stafford gets his 2nd ring and an MVP with the team he got traded to for Goff, who just played himself and his team out of any serious contention and has yet to take any team he's a part of across the finish line despite having really great rosters.

Come back to this post later, my man.

Goff, who just played himself and his team out of any serious contention and has yet to take any team he's a part of across the finish line despite having really great rosters.
The Lions really should have sat down and came up with a strategy to move on from Goff if they needed to. If you're gonna go for it on 4th all the time having a mobile QB would be helpful.

I blame the playcalling more than Goff though. Dan Campbell leaves too many points on the field trying to make Goff pull shit off.

Go home NFL, you're drunk.

Bryce is the Little Engine That Could. Some games like today and against the Falcons he looks like a great QB and then the next game he'll look completely inept.

I very desperately need Bryce Young to keep yo-yoing through the rest of the season so the shit I talked about Stafford today doesn't blow up in my face in three weeks.

Also hug your nearest Vikings fan, they're straight up not having a good time right now

They will probably take the division.

Also they play the Bucs and then play the Bucs again two weeks later. This seems...highly unusual. Is it me or is this season's schedule really weird?

Look who has the top seed in the NFC.
Look, I'm happy for The Bears, I like seeing different teams make the Playoffs rather than the same teams every fucking year, but I stand by saying the Pope is a Bears fan and this is some Divine Intervention and will continue to do so until proven wrong.

That tie against Jerruh's Boys is going to bite the Packers in the ass, isn't it?

...So, wtf happened to the Vikings? (Just saw they scored 0 points this week)
Brosmer couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on the few plays that had enough time to get a throw off, and had a particularly bad throw to avoid giving Demarcus Lawrence a sack that resulted in a pick six. Also Vikings in general were getting pretty fucking tilted during the game when they weren't quiet quitting, the vibes in that locker room must be atrocious.

Seahawks offense wasn't a lot better, Darnold took a lot of sacks and JSN was held to <25 yards. Our run game was a LOT better, though, and Meyers earned the fuck out of his paycheck this game. Really the game was two top 5 defenses grinding against inferior offenses, but the Vikings offense was so bad their defense damn near revolted.

Really I want to know just how cooked John Wolford is that KOC didn't sub him in at any point.

If the offense can't stay on the field the defense will revolt. If the QB can't pass the receivers will revolt. Vikings are currently looking at both.

Kwesi should build a fallout shelter. Locker room will be thermonuclear pretty soon if it's not already.

Also your RB1 looks banged up now after your #2 is on IR and Kwesi just gave away Cam Akers to the team that just beat him...yeah nobody on that offense is happy.
Kwesi lowkey has been one of the worst drafting GMs in the league for a bit now, now that he's floundering with roster management in general, I'd be worried about my job if I was him.
