So, of the eternally bad franchises, which ones are the least awful for a planers to be drafted by sid team(s)?
-Lots of early round Jets players have either already fetched their team a lot of draft capital or are prime targets for blowing things up in the offseason (and Armand Membou, their 1st rounder from last year, is putting up as much of a OROY performance as a lineman can)
-Dolphins draftees don't have to pay income tax
-If we're going by 21st century W-L record, the Lions count as eternally bad, and that's an awesome place to get drafted right now
-Raiders at least take good care of their players, provided you don't get in trouble with the law
-NOT CLEVELAND OR CINNCINATI. AVOID OHIO

The Raiders are so far away from decent, they need to trade him and he loves the Raiders for some fucked up battered wife reason. This might be a rare competent move by the Raiders' front office.
Supposedly he needs knee surgery, so you are correct in your assessment.

I think pass rush loses value the more the QB is protected from tough hits by rules. A sack kills a play still but the QB has much less of a physical toll to pay so it doesn’t impact the rest of their game as much. Pass rushers used to be pounding QBs with hard hits after they release the ball a lot more too.
Pass rush is still important. Sacks don't matter as much as getting consistent pressure. If you can get pressure with 4 then you make life 100x easier for your secondary since you can force the QB to make shitty throws into coverage.

If you can't get pressure without blitzing that's when shit starts to break down because you're taking guys out of coverage and good QBs will just punish you for it.

The Chiefs were like that last year, but the glazing from their fairweather fan base and sports commentators never brought it up. Last year the Chiefs were 12-0 in 1 score wins and you have refball to account for much of that, of course
The Chiefs really have not been a good team since 2022. At least offensively. The refs were the ones that largely got them into the playoffs and to the Super Bowl over the last two seasons.

Once the defensive took a step back and what little offensive talent they had imploded in on itself there was nothing more they could do to hide their glaring flaws.

This could have been a historically expensive sperg-out for DK Metcalf.

Update to this. DK Metcalf's 45 Million dollar bag is safe

DJ Moore among several Bears dealing with illness ahead of SNF

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Chicago Bears continue to deal with an illness that has impacted at least eight players ahead of their Sunday night meeting with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Bears added wide receivers DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus to the injury report Sunday morning with an illness and designated both as questionable. The team already ruled out Rome Odunze (foot) for a fourth straight game.

Right tackle Darnell Wright was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and did not travel with the team. Wright made the trip separately Sunday and could be available to play at Levi's Stadium. He carries a questionable designation.

Five other players were affected by an illness this week, including backup nickel corner Nick McCloud, who was ruled out Friday. Starting cornerback Nahshon Wright, who was already dealing with a hamstring injury this week, did not practice Friday due to an illness and is listed as questionable. Special teams ace Josh Blackwell (illness) carries the same designation.

Both returner Devin Duvernay and linebacker D'Marco Jackson dealt with an illness that kept them out of practice until Friday. They do not carry an injury designation and are expected to be available.

Quinn Ewers definitely proving himself this week. 63-yard TD pass to Wease was the longest passing TD for the Dolphins this year. If he can refine his play a little bit over the offseason he could absolutely be a viable replacement for Tua.

This is what it looks like when a team runs out of fucks to give. The Steelers are going to lose to Baltimore next week just so they can go 9-8.

EDIT: Oh shit, if the Steelers lose against Baltimore next week, does that mean they miss the playoffs too?

Tomlin got his winning season so that's all that matters apparently.
I think both Tomlin and Rooney have made it quite clear that pretty much is all that matters to them over the last decade. Tomlin will get endless media praise for the streak until they instantly turn on him once it runs out, and it won't be until several seasons of Acrisure Stadium sitting empty as the standard gets trot out for Art to really start being reminded he's poor by NFL owner standards.

Saw the highlight and there was no one around Weabo or whatever his name is.

If Ravens win, They're in by virtue of conference record.

Yes. Next week the 1st seed is up for grabs in both divisions and the NFC South + AFC North are both up for grabs on the final week. If the Bills win today, they can technically leapfrog the Patriots (don't neg rate me if I don't know all the tie breakers) but thats up for grab

Giants, what are you doing? You’re ruining your Tank! Are the Raider really that shit - that ones not a question, we all know they are, but seriously how can you not even purposefully lose to these clowns?

Historically, you can even see on the sidelines that Tomlin just stops giving a shit once he has 9 wins secured, it’s probably become team culture by osmosis considering how long he’s been there.

Sorta like the Patriots tradition of fucking with the Jets, only more pathetic than funny.
